“Great location, uneven food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

This spot has sported many names, going back to the Covered Wagon when I was a student at Villanova.
My partner favors it as a spot for business dinners, the menu is varied with something for everyone, even the picky vegetarian daughter.

“Worst Experience in a Loooong Time”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Where to start. One middle aged couple and middle-aged man and woman friends seek a decent meal after a hard day at a horse show. Restaurant 1/3 full on a Tuesday night. Concussive, fast beat mood music all night in an atmosphere aimed at 18-25 year old males. Sports on TVs. Slow waitress, physically and mentally. Unable to comply with repeated requests such as to replace soiled knife and take menus away after ordering. Dinner arrived after very long wait. Excessive quantities of mediocre food. "Chicken Imperial" looked and tasted like "Chicken Gruel". Nutmeg in a crab cake, really? Dinner interrupted repeatedly by blaring DJ in bar area running a trivia game for the remaining patrons. Waitress forgot limes for club soda, had to be repeatedly asked for iced tea refills. Restaurant ran out of mashed potatoes ("chef" did not know how to make more?) and salad offered as substitute never arrived. Manager came over twice, cooing soothing words, but nothing changed, same waitress, same "great" service. Stupidly ordered dessert - two servings of ice cream and one brownie with ice cream. After 20 minutes, wife arose to storm the kitchen while the rest of us dove under the table. As she approached, the desserts suddenly appeared, lives saved. No deductions taken from the bill, no complementary anything. Recounted story to several Devon residents next day. They wished that they had been asked first for an opinion as they had the same type of experiences and always avoid the Landmark. Good advice to take unless you are 20 years old, male, have already lost your hearing, have 3 hours to kill, and have never eaten decent food in your life.

“Excellent Service-Average Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

I recently visited the new location of Landmark Americana in the Devon/Wayne, PA area. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the service is fantastic with very friendly and attentive waiters. The restaurant itself is perfect for an after-work get together and is super casual. The appetizer, Cheesesteak egg rolls were fine, but could have been a bit warmer and the Fish and Chips I ordered could have been cooked a bit more. While I wouldn't suggest Landmark for someone looking for a culinary excursion, the excellent service and atmosphere makes it a great place to meet with friends and have a casual dining experience for a moderate price.
