“STUNNING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Beautiful, beyond words. I buy a pass every year, and no two visits are the same. This will always be one of my favs. Secret trails, ruins, bamboo gardens, hidden treasures everywhere. Even a large outdoor porch where i can lounge and read a book and drink tea. The most incredible lotus flowers you've ever seen. Beautiful, old trees with stunning character. Words cannot describe... It's well groomed, and yet somehow you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.

“We cant believe we are so lucky to live near this treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

This place is paradise. Its 33 acres of magical gardens that seem to change every week. We never get tired of visiting. As a former private home, I find it more interesting to visit than a typical botanical garden. We just walk around the gardens and terrace and think our house could look like this too (with a lot of help)!

“Heaven on the Main Line”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Never in my life have I seen gardens like this. I have travelled the world and seen gorgeous gardens, but the special part of Chanticleer, is that it feels "homey." Granted like home to a very wealthy person, but the gardens feel more like someone's grand property rather than formal gardens, like Longwood, which would be the other gardens in our area. Every week the gardens look a bit different depending what is in bloom. Chanticleer is gracious and inviting. Kids love to roll down the big hills - so do moms, dads and grandparents too. It is just gorgeous. A wonderful way to spend a few hours. Sometimes you can pack a little snack and sit on one of the many chairs around the property. You must take out whatever you bring in as food is not encouraged but is tolerated. I wouldn't recommend bringing a picnic and spreading out, but you could definitely have a sandwich in your bag with a drink and just take the trash with you when you leave. My friends all asked where I wanted to have lunch for my birthday, and Chanticleer was all that came to mind. My birthday is the beginning of the season and it is just the "BEST."

“Beautiful garden, friendly staff, lots of seating throughout”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Took my mother here on her eight sixth birthday and both of us enjoyed it immensely the gardens are beautiful without being overly manicured. There is a diversity of settings - sunny gardens, woodland plantings, lots of inspiration for shade gardens, wonderful benches and chairs made from wood and stone placed in interesting nooks in the garden. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch so you can extend your viewing time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Admission is reasonable ( 10 per adult) and parking is readily available and close to Theron entrance)

“If you need a little time to yourself..Treat yourself to Chanticleer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

I truly feel that Chanticleer is a magical place to visit.
I believe you could visit every day and always see something new and wondrous.
Beautifully maintained, quite little nooks with hidden places to sit and take in natures beauty.
Friday nights in the Summer, bring a picnic dinner and a bottle of wine and just take it all in!
Sometimes you feel like you are in an English Garden..
Sometimes you feel like you are in Monet's garden in Giverney..
Or even in Mr. MacGregors vegetable patch waiting to see Peter Rabbit go wisking by..
Just go and see it for yourself or take a lucky guest with you!
