During an annual stay at Wayne hotel I suffered a miserable cold but due to loving care of the staff survived to carry on crucial business with successful results. Full marks all around to superior stay.

We were in Philadelphia for medical care - the folks at the Wayne Hotel were wonderfully caring and helpful to us.

This is a great little hotel in an historic building with character and comfortable rooms. The front patio is nice for sitting outside and talking. The restaurant in the hotel is currently closed, but there are plenty good restaurants within 2 blocks. Plus your stay includes a continental breakfast, and you can buy a beer or glass of wine from the front desk to enjoy on the patio.

This hotel gets kudos from me right off the bat for having actual keys instead of those cards. We were there for the horse show at Devon and I loved the location (walking distance to shopping, restaurants and if we had brought the right shoes, even to the show grounds). I could NOT hear anything in the adjacent rooms at all. I agree the lobby is eerily quiet, but I kind of liked that, don't like people standing behind the desk watching every move I make. If you ring the cute old-fashioned bell, someone will appear! They couldn't have been more helpful, even printed out my boarding passes for me before I left for the airport. And I disagree about the "old people" smell in the room, the rooms smelled perfectly fine.

Only slight negatives are for the creaky slow elevator, and the scarcity of products in the bathrooms, but a major PLUS for the bathroom being completely contained behind a closed door, not half of it out in the hallway. One other slight negative is that while they strictly enforce the no-smoking policy, the large sand ashtray things on the porch steps, which I think were meant to make people put out their cigarettes before entering the hotel, seemed to make a couple of people think it's ok to smoke on the porch itself.

The front porch is, by the way, great. We will definitely stay here next year.

We filled the hotel with family and friends in town for a wedding and it was ideal! The casual elegance of the hotel provided a perfect setting for gathering before and after wedding activities - everyone loved it and felt very much at home. Great location in walking distance to restaurants and shops, nice breakfast, beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds. The staff was attentive and gracious and contributed to a very memorable weekend. We can't wait to go back!

If you're looking for sleek and modern, you won't find it here, but the newly renovated Wayne Hotel is comfortable, charming, and reasonably priced. There aren't many options in this neighborhood and we enjoyed our stay here. Though the renovations have maintained the hotel's Victorian image, our room was spotlessly clean and nicely updated. Apparently, Taquet, the restaurant that was on-premises for years has departed, but there are several good choices just a few steps away.

Living not too far from here, I always wanted to stay at this Hotel. Walking inside to check-in felt eerie because I was the only person in there and it was very quiet. It felt like I was in the movie "The Shining". After checking in went right to the room. The smell of the room is the same smell at my Grandma's house. It has that "old person" smell and you can immediately smell upon entering. Very old furniture and rugs in the room. The bed was a king and very comfortable. They had a 40-42" Flat Screen mounted to the wall. Bathroom looked like they were upgraded and they were nice. The overall size of the room is pretty small and you can hear everything thats going on in adjacent rooms. The breakfast is good that they serve in the morning (Bagels, Donuts, Danish.....) The restaurant and bar were under renovation at the time, so we strolled around the area for food. Overall - It was okay, nothing specatacular, but nothing bad either expect that smell.
