There is so much history in the Washington Crossing Historic Park and in the area. We started in the morning, purchased the pass that takes you to all the sites. The guided tour is very good. Our guide was very knowledgeable with the facts and history. She made it a lot of fun. She brought us back in time when General Washington at the time, brought his troops across the beautiful Delaware River the evening of December 25, 1776 with the successful crossing on the morning of December 26, 1776. Go across the street to the Washington Crossing Inn afterwards.
Well worth the time to stop for a meal or a ice tea. Further down River Road is a wonderful Restr. located on the left hand side. Excellent food.
