“"Hampton"-Good but showing its age.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012 via mobile

We have stayed here three times over the past 5 years as we visit the Laurel Highlands and it's many inviting attractions. This Hampton has the typical good service and cleanliness one expecs from the chain, but is in some serious need of updating. While certainly not dirty, it's beginning to look tired and old. TVS ad updated to flat panels, but there is still a huge lack of electrical outlets for today's, gadget and charger-heavy traveler. The bathroom was smallish and lacked vanity counter space (and we had the largest type room - king with sofabed) but the shower was fine. The help from maids to maintenance were warm and friendly. The pool and whirlpool were nice sized and in good condition andooerating order. Breakast was executed well with sufficient oferings. The only service glitch was when the Internet access code did not work for the WiFi. The front desk admitted i was the tenth person to contact him with the same complaint but he simply deferred me to calling AT&T where I quickly determined the hotel had reversed two digits in the access code they were providing to guests. I was amazed that the front desk (after 10 guest complaints) had not made the call to AT&T themselves and instead asked a guest to call them. This buck passing should not have occurred but that's just a small training issue. Clean and decent, just old and tired. Nothing to keep me from coming back given the limited alternatives in the area.

Very helpful staff! Room was clean and updated. Only issue was the heating system was noisy as it was going on and off. Hotel well-located for the business traveler.

Stayed 1 night in December for a business meeting. Front Desk staff was pleasant, king nonsmoking room was very clean with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast the next morning was larger than anticipated - scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, oatmeal, fruits, cereals and breakfast pastries. They also had a waffle maker and a nice tea/coffee set up. Convenient to downtown Uniontown. McDonalds, Dennys and other restaurants were close by, but you really should be fine with the free breakfast. Will definitely book again when traveling in the area.

This Hampton Inn is a good property. Very clean, new property, to HI standards and the amenities (pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and exercise room) cannot be beat. Staff were really nice, breakfast was plenty. I am suggesting that families with teens/small children might reconsider because the property only allows 12-16 year olds with adult supervision at the hot tub. They can also not use the exercise room. You start getting a sense that the property is run by lawyers extremely careful to make sure they don't face any possible litigation from customers. Sad. They also have a dedicated staff person enforcing these rules.

The advertised that they were about 15 miles from FallingWater, try about 1.5 hour drive or more about 45-55 miles away.

I am not sure we will be back...probably if we were just adults with no kids.

My family and I have stayed at many hotels in the area and find we always come back to this Hampton Inn, in Uniontown, PA. When entering the Inn, you feel like you are visiting a friend's home. The staff is always courteous and helpful, the breakfast is good, the rooms are very clean and the beds/pillows/comforter are extremely comfortable. Also, the bath soap they use (but do not sell) is wonderful!!! My husband stays at the Hampton Inn for the bath soap alone!!!

We had a choice of several bed & breakfast homes or Nemacolin but didn't want to spend a ton of money for an overnight stay just to visit Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, the Frank Lloyd Wright homes in the area. So, this Hampton Inn was my choice. I was VERY pleased with the accommodations: the bed was very comfortable (we had a king bed with lots of fluffy pillows); the room was spotless, and I am a stickler for clean rooms; the breakfast was as good as any restaurant (we chose to eat at the hotel instead of Denny's across the street because of the time factor); and the staff was extremely friendly--smiles all around. They made me feel welcome and appreciated.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. Other positives: easy access to the highway; close to Fallingwater & Kentuck Knob; Uniontown Mall is right across the street; reasonable rates.

The extremely squared away assistant general manager and front desk staff promptly and sensitively took care of an awkward situation to our full satisfaction. In addition, the housekeepers are highly motivated and the breakfast hostess is just the best.
