We stopped here on our way to New York City. Everything was what we expected. It's no 5 star hotel. Room was nice, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about. It was rainy when we were there but there was a nice covered walkway to the breakfast place. Continental breakfast was surprisingly good. They had a waffle iron. Breakfast was the highlight here. We would return.

Stay was average. I had a mountain view room booked but all rooms face the I-80 with mountains in the far distance. Man at the front desk was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. Room was adequate but needs updating. Carpet is old and worn but room was clean. Hair dryer in bathroom was high up - lined up with the top of the door frame. Considering women are the ones that tend to use it and tend to be shorter, it was hard to reach. Mirror in bathroom had drawings of what looked like snakes on it - a kid must have stayed in the room at some point. Otherwise, room was fine. Great location for skiing at Camelback.

Check Inn was a snap, the gentleman at the front check was excellent at his job. The grounds are clean and from a distance the hotel looks inviting. The room (119) was an upgrade with a mountain view and balcony, loved that. However the room itself needs some work, ok it needs lots of work. The beds were clean, I checked for bedbugs no problems found. The flat screen tv had plenty of channels to chose from. There was plenty of parking right next to the room. Continential Breakfast: nice and clean and scrambled eggs were served (self service). The downside: room is tight, one bed (there were two) was right against the table and chairs, if I needed I could have eated my dinner in bed. The rugs are worn as well as outdated furniture. The microwave and frig were spotless. The front door was loose, it is a safe area but you never can be to sure can you. The bathroom, rip it down and rebuild it, MOLD! seriously MOLD visable to the guests no excuse and yes when you have MOLD you have oder and the room smelt like MOLD even after I sprayed air freshner four times. On a social trip I can get away with mold smell but this was for a funeral and I did not want my clothes smelling like mold so they were keep in my car overnight. I workout often so the walk outside in my underwear to get my clothes got a few smiles from a couple of ladies,,,,,,and one guy!

Sink in bathroom and toilet had leaks. Room was colder than outside. Took a few hours to heat it up. Was supposed to stay two nights. Left after the first night.
