“Not as It Was...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Camelback used to be the premier Ski-Snowboard Area in the Poconos. I should know as a local who has been skiing for 27 years. However, in the past few years things have declined in several area that have negatively impacted the overall experience.

Lifts are very prone to opening late. 15 minutes to half an hour is not uncommon any more. And, they are frequently breaking down. Is maintenance being overlooked?

Grooming is another sore spot. Parts of a trail will be well-gromed, but another part will be full of ice chunks and nearly unpassable, especially by novice skers or riders, It is also common for the groomers to leave uneven "ridges" where they overlap. I'm talking about anywhere form several inches to nearly a foot on one slope.
If you're just going for a vacation trip later in the day and conditions aren;t an issue..go and enjoy. Serious skiers...just take note of these issues.

“What a blast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

This is a fun day out and again, a bit pricey but worth it especially if you have kids. There's something there for everyone. I suggest you don't go on an extremely hot day though because you will melt from the activities. You will definetely get your daily exercise in and then some. But all in all it's a great day out! And a good way to get your kids off the computer and video games! it shows the true fun of being out doors!

“Treetop Adventure Course and 4000' Tandem Zip Line at CBK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Loved it! Worth every penny...took us 5 hours to get through all 5 courses. My husband and I were both challenged. Courses 4 and 5 are considered Advanced. I couldn't finish 5. My husband is training for the Tough Mudder Obstable Course next year (he does various runs and races in the area) so it was challenging enough for us! I was considered it would be too easy and NOT the case. Not for anyone who has a fear of heights. Scenery was beautiful! Guides were trained and friendly. Cameras are not allowed on the courses as there are at times, people below you that you could hit if you drop your camera. There is a photographer there and you can buy the photos. A little bit of a ripoff but they get better photos anyway. Bring a light jacket and GLOVES that grip well. Your hands will get sore if not. Wear comfortable tight-fitting clothes, you will be in a harness the entire time. The tandem 4000' zip line was COOL but IMO not worth the extra $$. there is plenty of ziplining between the courses. Went for my husband's 30th birthday. Then got dinner at the brewery down the street, Barley Creek. PS- there is a port-a-pot at the end of course 1 or 2. All the courses (1-3) are intertwined with each other- above and below. So don't panic if you need a restroom, there is one. Well, a port-o-pot. Better than nothing. Also, there are lockers where you get your tickets. But I would just leave your stuff in your car. Make sure everything you bring is secured in your pockets. You will be climbing, pulling and swinging!

“Most excellent adventure man!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

This place is a lot of fun and not too expensive for what you get. Compared to other similar parks, this one is a better value. The zip lines and tree top adentures are amazing, and we also did the offroad segway tour which was a lot of fun. There are enough activities here to keep you busy all day. Definitley worth the trip up.
