excellent value, perfect location for skiing, shopping, and snow tubing. Rooms are comfortable, clean, with good showers. Help is friendly and courteous. Good restaurants and bars in walking distance. no need to drive. Town decorated beautifully for christmas season. Hotel quiet at night and child friendly. Pool and jacuzzi recently renovated. Will definitely stay again. stayed Dec 28-Jan 1.

first the people there are very nice..they told us at the front desk everything we needed to know about what to do around there. fun things to do and shopping is very close to this hotel. either you can walk up and down the town or take a short ride to the outlets. the hotel itself is dated but its comfortable and clean. the indoor pool is very nice and open til 10pm. the food there is very good from breakfast right to dinner. wawa is close and so i dunkin donuts. we had to cut our trip short due to my husbands job and they completely accommodated us! veryyyy nice of them and understanding. we will be back perhaps for their 911 event in September. I wish them all a Happy New Year.

We are so happy to hear that you've enjoyed your stay at our establishment and thank you for taking the time to write such a nice response. Our location in the area is one of our shining points, as we're close to many attractions and within walking distance to many different restaurants and bars.

We recently renovated our indoor pool, which reopened this past August (2012). We are so glad you packed your suits and had a chance to enjoy it!

We also extend our best wishes for the New Year to you and your family and we look forward to seeing you in September!

We stayed here during Christmas. The rooms are a bit tired, but they seem clean. The shower worked well and when I needed extra towels, I got them. The customer service is what really brings us back - that and the low rates.
We don't spend much time in the room. It is located on Mian Street and has a very nice place for breakfast attached. I don't think the hotel runs that.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of our hotel!

We pride ourselves on our customer service and strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all of our guests. Our location, right on Main Street in Stroudsburg, is ideal for those traveling to the area. There are multiple bars and restaurants within walking distance and many area attractions are just a short drive away. We do have plans to update our rooms in the coming months and look forward to being able to present renovated rooms to our guests.

Sarah's Corner Cafe is the restaurant you're referring to, and while the hotel does not manage it, we do recommend all our guests stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner during their visit. Whether looking for a cozy brunch, or a hearty meal, Sarah's definitely provides a comfortable environment that you can enjoy!

Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to seeing you during your next trip to the area!

Clean, great location, wonderfully helpful front desk. Stayed here for a concert at the Sherman Theater and couldn't have been more satisfied. Breakfast is a cup of coffee and a bagel/muffin, but for $50 a night you can't beat this place! Would definately stay here again.

We use to stay here when it was Best Western and it was basicly a skiers party hotel then. Not real nice but a cheap decent place to stay with a great location. Because thier prices were still cheap we tried staying there after it became the Pocono Inne Town Magnuson. The rooms were the same but the lat thing we wanted to hear after getting in late at night and driving for hours to get there was that they couldn't find our reservation. It took the desk clerk sometime to finally find it and get us into a room. The fact that it is now a non smoking hotel meant that we were made to go outside in a very poorly lit parking lot for my boyfriend to have a cigarette. They have also redirected the traffic pattern in the parking lot making it more diffucult to get in and out of. The real kicker was when I went down to the basement that was in horrible disrepair for the breakfast at 10:30 to find most of the stuff gone and as I was trying to put something together with what was left, the manager came in and told me he was closing it and made me feel like I had to rush to get out of his way. It was available until 11 am. So it was the last time we will ever stay there and I don't care how good of a location it has I would never recomend it. Do your self a favor and stay somewhere else !

Room Tip: The only good tip would ge to go to gombas pizza.

Thank you for your input .
First, Thank you for staying with us and I want to apologize for the non smoking rooms.
we felt that was the direction the hotel had to go. As for the breakfast area it was clearly marked that the Hotel was under renovation and that the breakfast time was from 7 to 10 am.
And for the manager coming down to the breakfast area and telling you that you needed to rush out,,,I am the GM and I was never in The breakfast area that day ..I was off.
The parking has been that way for the last 3 years and there is a back exit out of our parking lot.
We have put all of these things into practice because other guests have suggested we put these things into practice and we have listened.

The hotel was dated but the staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the room was as good as any other hotel that we have stayed in. The downtown location is great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn't care if everything is up to date and modern. Plus they have an indoor pool, bars and restaurants on site.

I really only need two things in a hotel - clean and quiet. This place was good on the clean, but failed miserably on the quiet. It was inexpensive, which is why we booked. The room was nice-sized and clean, but dated and well-worn. The king bed was very comfortable. The heater, however, blew only cold air and we had to call for a plunger the second time we used the toilet. What really drags my rating down, though, is the fact that the walls are paper thin. If you have a quiet experience here it's either because no one is in the room(s) next to you or they are mute. When we entered our room it sounded like it was already occupied. The conversation and music from the adjoining room were so clear it was like they were part of our room. I could understand every word that was being said. These people were 20-somethings, but they (nor their music) were not being rowdy, this was normal conversation, albeit with several people involved. There was no way we were spending a night like that. My husband went to the front desk to see about getting a different room. To her credit, the young woman at the desk handled the situation very professionally. She called the adjoining room and told them that she knew they had extra people in the room and offered them a room with an additional bed at no upcharge. So that problem was solved. The next night that room remained vacant, but there were people on the other side of us. Their conversations were nearly as audible as the ones from the night before, but their room got quiet early on so was not a problem. The continental breakfast was a disappointment. It was served in the basement and was comprised of instant oatmeal, corn flakes, Froot Loops and bagels. There was a toaster for the bagels, but one side didn't work at all and to use the other side you had to hold down the handle while the bagel was toasting. There wasn't even any fresh fruit - how tough would it be to offer apples or bananas? No prep involved. This place had a 3-star rating, but I have no idea how it achieved that. If you want to go cheap, you don't expect much and you get lucky enough to have an isolated room, this place works.

Room Tip: Ask to have no one in rooms adjacent to yours!
