“I Don't Get It”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012

I definitely don't understand the love nor the fanaticism for Issac's.

We were there yesterday afternoon and while honestly maybe it was just an off day for this location the food was really not much better than a Subway and the service was about the same as well.

Let's detail:

The kids meals ordered were the Cardinal (3 mini-pizza slices that were served cool and not hot) and the Mac and Cheese which was served fresh from the microwave and a temperature that could have melted rubber on contact. Their sides of applesauce and carrots and ranch were standard and non-noteworthy.

The kids are also supposed to get a choice of a small sundae or a cookie at the end of their meal but naturally they had no cookies as none were baked that day since we were told they expected a slow day.

The adult meals were the Cormorant (the best out of the four meals ordered in terms of getting things done right) and the Twisted Chicken (well I wanted to order the Firebird but they said they were out of Buffalo Chicken so that was not an option) which was alright but not what I wanted.

As for the service, our server "S" spoke at almost the level of a whisper and we had real trouble hearing her which was amazing because counting us there were only two other occupied tables the whole time we were there.

The other thing that was annoying was that it took almost 30 minutes after our order was taken for the food to show up.

Keep in mind that there are only two other occupied tables and we ordered two sandwiches, mac and cheese which got nuked, and pizza they served at almost room temperature.

Between this and the constant push from "S" to order the overpriced Pepper Jack Tomato Soup ($4.29 for a small) and the Lemonade Cake ($40 for a whole one to take home??) I really wish that they would focus on getting right what you did order instead of constantly pushing things you didn't ask for.

While we may consider trying another Issac's location in the future this one is DOA for us.

Upscale sandwiches, some served on soft pretzels, but average.

“Fresh, creative sandwiches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

Friendly atmosphere. Everything fresh! Cute names. Unique menu- soups, salads, pretzel sandwiches, sliders, flatbreads, reubens and , of course, the classic hamburg. They are willing to make it your way- well done, no mayo...
