“Great place to stay in Amish country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2011

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Hershey Farm Inn (it is not associated with the theme park). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! We stayed on the second floor and the view was beautiful. It looked out over farmland, with a pond in the foreground and nicely kept grounds. You could not see any of the tourism inspired attractions as the Inn is a few miles down a country road. This was a big plus for us. We had a large balcony which is hard to find these days. Our rate included breakfast each morning. The Smorgasboard restaurant onsite was closed on Mondays, so we had a decent continental that morning. They have extras you can add on, which is a nice plus. I ordered my husband their anniversary basket, which contained two wine glasses filled halfway with kisses, a bottle of sparkling cider and two yummy whoopie pies, with balloons. For an extra $29 dollars this was a nice touch. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Pick the second floor in the Inn part that adjoins the main lobby

I have been coming to the Lancaster area since I was a baby and now I am 26. I have stayed at just about every hotel, motel, inn, etc. that there is in the area. I've always been a big fan of the Hershey Restaurant and decided to stay at their inn this time around. It is a beautiful hotel which offers clean, spacious rooms and is very nicely renovated. Also they offer a nice selection of ammenities which include, but it not limtied too 42" flat screen televisions, available room refridgerators, outdoor pool, wi-fi, and my favorite beautiful views of the Amish country. Also the hotel is conveniently located near the town of Strasburg which has plenty of stuff to do including the historic railroad. And it's also located near the Tanger and Rockvale Outlets if you like to shop. I plan on making this hotel one of my go-to spots when I visit agan.

For the second year in a row, this Inn is sheer country perfection! Hands down the most quant and comforting Inn Lancaster PA has to offer! From the gracious gal Grace at the Front Desk, and the stellar waitress staff (our gals are Joanne & Linda) it always feels like home to us.. We are three super close friends who have made this our annual gals Fall get together and will continue to do so over and over again! Price is always right, staff is warm, understanding and always on point and available from extra towels, to passwords for the community computer in the main lobby to remembering us year after year greeting us with hugs and hellos! Hospitality runs deep at the Hershey Farm Inn!

Room Tip: Carriage House rocks but any room is a treat.

My husband and I stopped in to Hershey Farm Restaurant and what a nice surprise. It was a cold, rainy evening and we were hungry after a long drive and shopping around Amish country. The atmosphere of the gift shop, bakery and restaurant was so inviting. The restaurant has a wonderful smorgasbord for a very reasonable price, the best we have ever seen. The employees were helpful and friendly. The food was "home cooked delicious", there were so many choices it was hard to decide what to have! Soups, salads, breads, vegetables, main courses (all comfort food like pizza, sliders, meatloaf, baked chicken, pot roast, chicken pot pie, pork/sauerkraut, macaroni & cheese and much more), a huge dessert bar, ice cream station, and a waffle making station. It seems like it would be a great place for children, lots of food choices that kids would love. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the Strasburg/Lancaster area. We did not stay overnight in the inn, but would definitely consider doing so in the future.

Our family was originally going to have thanksgiving at Willow Valley, but there were no openings. So, out of desperation I made lunch reservations at Hershey Farm. WOW! This place was amazing. The food was the best ever and everyone in the group wants to come back next year. A great variety, excellent taste and wonderful friendly staff. A++++++++++++

My husband, our daughter, grandson, and I stayed here for two nights. I have limited mobility, so we were given a ground floor room close to the parking area. Our room was well-furnished, comfortable, and had a microwave and fridge. There was space for us to move about. Our grandson loved walking on the paths, visiting the play area, and feeding the goats. Larger beds would have been nice, but we will probably stay there again.

Hershey Farm Inn was a exc. place to stay with our friends. We have stayed at this Inn many times since our first stay back in 1995.
