“Awesome for Train Lovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

What a fun place, my husband loves trains, and I like them but we both LOVED this place. It is huge! Way bigger than we expected. Exploring all the real trains were a really fun time. We spent hours going through all the rooms and outside in the train yard. You can climb on some trains also which is great. Real fun for the whole family!

“Thumbs up!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

If you LOVE trains, don't miss this vast collection of engines through the years. Easy to navigate the museums' layout and much to explore. We had a two year old with us so we moved along at his pace (quickly), but there was an older group of Gentlemen who were relishing the experience and memories of the rails.

“BEATS STEAMTOWN BY A LONGSHOT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

First, it is VERY big - second every piece of rolling stock is pristine - third every exhibit gives a complete history of the car or locomotive including the last owner, even if it was a farmer using it as a chicken coop - sadly this does not apply to STEAMTOWN.

And if you want a train ride, Strasbourg is directly across the road.

If you get tired of looking at everything that is undercover in the museum itself, the storage yard is just outside, easy to walk in and has some interesting treasurers of its own including another GG1.

The only negative is, using local road signs, it's surprisingly hard to find.

“Wonderful collection of railway memorabilia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

Minimal cost of entry to a world of well preserved locomotives, trucks and signs. An interactive area aimed at kids was well laid out

“Worth seeing even if you are not an enthusiast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We went while waiting for the train ride - it is well worth the fee.

There are lots of lovingly restored engines and carriages, with plenty of interesting facts and figures.
