“overpriced: yes, but good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2009

no one can deny that the food is overpriced, but it is sooooo good. Meals are like 6-8$. I consider this place like a saturday or sunday brunch place. It'll hold you over til dinner and is really tasty. The atmosphere of the deli is nice too. It's as close to a deli in state college as one can get.

“Felt overpriced for what we got”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2009

I went here once with a friend for lunch. There was just one other person eating there at the time who seemed to be watching tv more than eating. We found the prices to be a bit high for the sandwiches we got.

“A Huge Menu of Excellent Sandwiches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2008

All the sandwiches here are named after people associated with Penn State, from Joe Paterno to Graham Spanier, and the list goes on for several pages. Most importantly, all of the sandwiches are excellent.

Every one is freshly made to order and they use high quality products. There are set prices for each category (cold, hot, paninni, etc.) but they range in price from $6.50 to $8.00 and that even includes a bag of chips.

It is getting harder and harder to find a good, simple, old fashioned sandwich so this place is a welcome stop every time I am in State College. Although small, the shop is clean and the folks are always super nice. Give it a try!
