“Good place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Friendly staff at the front desk, the room was good, large bathtub, great water pressure in shower, the power flush toilet may startle you the first time you use it. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, a washer and drier on site and a small fitness room. The breakfast area is nice though some of the sausage and eggs were not hot but I just put them in the microwave. The inn sits on a hill and those folks are used to snow so they aren’t real big on snow removal so I had a little trouble sliding down to the diner and a little trouble getting back up the hill but the sun came out the next day and cleared it off. Only a few of the local sidewalks were cleared as well. The internet worked well and there is a lounge with a lonely bartender though they did have a local band come in one night and things picked up a bit. Somerset is a pretty cool little town to stop in for a night or weekend stay. I walked everywhere and felt safe there. Easy access to get back on to the turnpike. I would stay here again if I ever come back this way.

Room Tip: If you stay on the turnpike side of the motel you may occaisionally hear a little truck noise on the...

Thank you so much for your kind words about our property. Somerset is a great town and we're happy to call it home. We do have a lounge on premises and when we have entertaiment it does draw a crowd. Thank you for your time as well as being our guest.

After a long road trip this place is an oasis! We stay at a lot of roadside pet friendly places not knowing what to expect, and we took a gamble at this place as well. Well worth it! The staff is really friendly and really make sure this place CLEAN and cozy. Only feet away from the exit this place is hard to miss.

A little insiders tip for anyone getting there before 10pm, the downstairs makes a killer grilled chicken sandwich, burger, or hot dog. Served with some chips for under 7 bucks, it's hard to resist!

Room Tip: ask if the floor is squeeky before checking in...

Thank you so much for taking a gamble at our hotel! We are glad to hear it was well worth it. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us and with others. We do have a wonderful staff here who are always willing to assist in anyway we can. Cruizers, our onsite lounge, does grill a pretty mean burger and we're glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for beautiful words about our property and for being our guest!

Clean, quiet, firm mattress, non smoking room that was well furnished, including a microwave and small frig. The young woman at the front desk when we checked in at 8Pm on 12/15 was very friendly. Easy access to the Turnpike. We will stay here again.

I stay here several times a month for business. Never had a problem with cleanliness or bugs (yes! I thoroughly check). I love the power flush toilets. Friendly staff! Maybe it's me, but I believe the better rooms are on the 2nd floor. Lots of food and shopping nearby.

Long drive from Michigan. A warm welcome and a very comfortable room. Just what was needed.

Read a number of reviews online, and this place had good reviews. A midrange price hotel, but I found a coupon for $79 at the Turnpike rest stop.

Double beds were comfortable, room very spacious. Computer desk with chair, and a separate comfy chair for reading. Nice size fridge and microwave. Bath room clean and roomy.

Only complaint is that like many places, they have gone to four small pillows on the bed. I prefer larger ones.

Breakfast room is one of the largest I have seen. Well stocked. Attendant very friendly and helpful. USA Today and a local paper. A very comfortable place to eat.

Staff is top notch. Late night front desk, very welcoming. Morning desk, the same.

Lots of construction around the area, but signage to the Comfort Inn is good. Many places to choose from. Glad I landed here. Would stop again.

Room Tip: I was in the farthest room from the elevator - a corner room. Very quiet and an easy walk.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our property! We're so glad you were met with a warm welcome and a comfortable room. Our staff here is, as you say 'top notch'. Every member of our team aims to ensure that our guests have an enjoyable and pleasant stay. The construction going on in the area is a little frustrating at times, but we do try to make finding our location as easy as possible. If your travels ever bring you back to Somerset, we'd love for you to be our guest again! Thank you!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We've been staying at Comfort Inns this year and this one has a good one! The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and updated. It had a large refrigerator and microwave. it also had a nice occasional chair and ottoman along with a desk and chair. Our room was close to/next to the ice machine, but we never heard it. The breakfast room was a nice welcome. It was large and had many tables, very accommodating. We never had a hard time finding a table for breakfast. The breakfast was free and served hot items (waffles, eggs-formed egg patties, and sausage patties). Some Comfort Inns have scrambled eggs and sausage links. The food area was ample and clean. There was one woman staffing the food area and replacing and replenishing the food. The food selection was large and there was plenty to eat and everything was good, except I didn't care for the waffles. The batter seemed sour, but maybe it was buttermilk or sourdough flavor, but it was something I didn't like. I liked that they had light yogurt for those watching their figure. The hotel also had a 'bar/club' area in the basement area of the facility where you could watch football on a big screen and get bar food like fries and a hamburger. We checked it out, but didn't eat there. The room was big enough, but it was dark and didn't seem to have any windows and there was a wooden dance floor in the middle of the room, seemed a bit of an awkward space and out of place.

We would definitely stay there again while in the area.

Stopped on our way home from Fallingwater and found an availabiitiy. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room had flat-screen TV, microwave, and refrigerator. No complaints except the breakfast. For whatever reason; I was told by a staff member that they were not allowed to cook the food there. I could give it an excellent recommendation if the food was prepared better and hot. Staff was helpful telling us about a nice restaurant (Grill) very close by where we enjoyed a delicious dinner.
