“Can't get over the wasted food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

Family style food sounds like a good idea, but they bring an obscene amount of food, including 2 whole pies plus mini cheesecakes and ice cream for a table of 10. I think we had less than a third of each pie and two of 12, or so, mini cheesecakes. And I saw them removing a lot of other barely touched pies from other tables. So not only is it just a waste if food, but you're paying for that food and you can't take it with you.

In terms of the food itself; meh, it's okay, but nothing to make this a destination. About what you'd expect from Amish-style cooking.
I'd look elsewhere.

“Eat off the Menu!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Eat off the menu unless you are starved or have a large group.
For $22.00 per person family style you need to eat a lot of food.

“Nothing Plenty about it”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

It is more like "Average and Some" based on the name of the restaurant. You would think that you would at least get "Plenty" of food. This was not the case. And the food fell more in the average category. The food was ok, but the portions were not in anyway above average in size.

“family style”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

There are two choices for dining:family style where you sit at a long table with others or in another diningroom where you order off the menu. Family style is a set menu of three entrees and several sides in large dishes for the whole table. Some folks like it, others don't.

“Average food and expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

While the service was excellent, we found the food to be average. The meals are all you can eat, so there is plenty and they keep bringing it. The deserts were very good, and also you got to have several pieces of pie, ice cream and pudding. While the food was good and there was plenty of it, I found the $22 per person plus tip a little high.

You eat in one large room with group tables. Now the group tables can be nice, you get to meet some new people, but it was very loud and hectic.
