I went with my Mom and Dad, and until we got in the car that day to drive there, I couldn't stop watching water slide videos.
Well, the mintue we pulled up, I absolutely SQUEALED my little head off. I got out of the car, tried to calm myself, and walked in.
Me and my parents looked around before we checked in. We were amazed. We walked over, checked in, and of course it took long - I'm very impatient. Then we began to walk up to our room, and opened the door. We were amazed. The room was beautiful!
We unpacked everything, and we went to the waterpark.
First off, it was a lot of fun in the pool. I got knocked off the snake a bunch of times, and truly, I enjoyed it.
I LOVED the lilypads, but I needed my Dad to help me across - I'm scared very easy.
We went on about every ride there is, went to the arcade, the spa.. nothing negitave about it.
SCOOOPS. It's great. They give you a sheet of paper, and you select what flavors you want, what you want done, etc. This is good not just because of service, because it's literally right next to the waterpark, so you can just walk out and go get a massage, get your nails done, a facial, and a pedicure.
The water slides - I love to no extent. The rollercoaster was absolutely scary, but the orange one by the toilet bowl was pretty scary too, as me and my sister almost fell out!
I loved everything. The only thing bad about it was some kids wouldn't stop annoying me, but then they left and we got new quiet people above us.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were large. We had a basic room with two full beds. The rooms each have a fridge and a microwave, a sofa/sleeper and coffee table. The bathrooms were small, with just a tub and toilet, which left little room for an adult to bathe a small child, uncomfortable, but doable. The bathroom sink was located in the room. I was very happy with the level of cleanliness in the room, I am very picky!

In the future,I would bring breakfast for the kids, drinks and snacks. Food there was very pricey. The water park was a ton of fun for the kids and mom and dad. The locker rooms were very small, with limited areas to change. We had already checked out of our room and needed the locker room.

All in all, we plan to return later in the summer with our two youngest children in addition to our 5 and 6 yo that we brought this time. I am confident after this trip that there is plenty for the younger ones to do as well. This place is totally suitable for children from 1 (walking) all the way up!

The Tannersville outlet mall is just down the road, the perfect way to break up your water time.

I like to start off by saying this place is amazing, our children had a great time. The water park is great however you cant stay in the water to long because it can irritate your skin and the smell of cholrine is very strong. The place is a bit expensive but what vacation isnt you just have plan it right. The check-in line wasnt that bad about 10-15 min wait to find out our room wasnt ready because of a flood with the air conditioner. They did give us a different room and 2 breakfast vouchers to compensate us however the food wasnt all that great. Overall we had a great time and will visit again.

This was my first time to GWL... I went because of how my daughter and wife raved about it duirng a Girl Scout trip. This place has very good points, and some not so good points... First the bad: 1. Everything you need is availabe on-site, at a premium. Food and other things were VERY expensive...so much so, we brought some of our own food with us and went out to eat at least for dinner each night we were there. 2. check-in experience s*cked. I was very unhappy. Most every time I've been to a hotel, when I'm told of a check-in time, I'm checked in and at my room within 15-20minutes from the I pull up. Not here. We waited in line for about 20-30minutes just to get to the check-in desk, then ended up waiting over 90 minutes for our room to ready... only to be put in a room which wasn't what I expected... it was a handicapped-accessible room, which is fine, but to make the room this way, the kids-cabin room was laid out differently and my kids were dissapointed. 3. Wasn't worth the $310/night I paid to stay (not including any meals) -- BUT I can kinda/sorta appreciate why its so expensive -- maintaining the waterpark and bunches of lifeguards they have on duty.
Good things: 1. Kids absolutely loved the waterpark. I thought it was kinda neat, but I don't typically go to waterparks, so I don't really know what to compare it to.. but the kids loved it -- I have three kids, 10, 8, 6 years in age. 2. The MagiQuest adventure stuff... although kinda pricey to get into the game, all three kids loved it as well and also gives you a workout... you're constantly going up and down stairs... it's kinda like high-tech scavenger hunt across 6 hallways on three floors. 3. plenty of and highly visible lifegaurd staff -- a good sense of safety.
Overall... I'm not sure if I would go back... if I did, it would be a long time from now..just because of the price. My wife and I thought about finding out is there was a way to pay for a day for just the waterpark and stay somewhere else... just thinking... It was a nice place, just not sure if it was worth the cost... I would recommend this to a friend with small kids and a decent amount of disposabe cash...

We had been wowed by the GWL in Niagara Falls and needed a place to stay near Stroudsburg while dropping our daughter off at gymnastics camp. I got nervous after reading the reviews on this one. Having four kids, we need two regular hotel rooms, so staying at GWL isn't that more expensive for us. We added the breakfast package on when we booked the room on-line which saved us a ton of money. Our stay was great. We stayed a Saturday to Sunday. The waterpark was not crowded at all. We were able to get on and off slides in a decent amount of time. For dinner we did pizzas from the pizza hut and ate right in the water park. The breakfast buffet was just as amazing as it had been in Niagara Falls. It is pricey, but wasn't bad buying it online ahead of time. The room was clean, air-conditioner worked well, check in was smooth and didn't take longer than it should have. For some reason our wristbands didn't get activated. A housekeeper was in the hallway and let us in, we went back down where they fixed them, no problem at all. We were just there a short time this time so we didn't do any of the other activities. We always stay in the kid kabin rooms which work well for us. The only thing we noticed was that the TV in the main room wasn't a flat screen which was kind of surprising these days. Not a big deal though. Yes it is a little loud, it is a family hotel!! They have hibernation hours though which did seem to be followed. We didn't hear anything after settling in for the night. Overall a good stay!
