This is real authentic Szechuan cuisine. If you want everyday americanized chinese, don't go here. If you want the real thing, get here quickly. Don't miss this gem.
Unlike the other Han Dynasty locations, this spot has both an Americanized menu and an authentic Chinese / Szechuan menu. Szechuan is usually spicy so if that's not your thing, you may want to stick to the Americanized menu. I think this is to pacify the tastes out here in central montgomery county.
For appetiser, we had spicy cold marinated cucumbers. I had this at the Cherry Hill NJ location and loved it there. Highly recommended appetizer. It's one of the best things I've ever ate. Our entrees included Salt and Pepper Squid and Beef with Cumin. Both Excellent offerings. A real treat. There are so many things I want to try, I'm sure I'll be back regularly. I'm very excited to discover this and can't believe I just found out about it.
Of Han Dynasty's five locations in the greater Philadelphia area, this is the only spot that gets a higher number of mixed reviews. Now, with so many people giving this an excellent rating in all of Han's locations, I have to think it's the reviewer and not the restaurant. You don't see this for the Center City location, for the University City location, in Cherry Hill and just a little for the Exton location. As a diner, it's OK if this is not your cup of tea especially if you're looking for more basic american-style chinese food. That however is no reason to ruin it for other diners who can appreciate what is clearly one of Montgomery County's best restaurants. I don't want to deter customers and potentially see this location close. We have too few great restaurants out here. If your not one to appreciate this type of cooking, then say "this is not for me" but don't make this out to be a bad restaurant. Perhaps it's best of you just refrain from reviewing. that's what I do. I give a break to places that are not my taste. There is a diner for every restaurant type. Take that into consideration.
