“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2010

I love this campground. It is small and safe for the children. The pool is great! Al runs the activities and he is great with the kids. I would recommend this place to anyone. We camp here often and love it every time.

We went with two other families for a total of 8 youger kids(7-13) and 6 adults. The kids liked the fishing in the small creek and the little trout pond. They also liked the little store to buy candy. The REALLY liked bingo night (parents did too). Two families stayed in the cabins which were newer and very nice where everything worked except the a/c in one which they took care of within hours. Our friends with thier camper were right across from us on the creek which provided a relaxing spot with the fire and smores. The campground is respectable, quiet and clean. I personally perfer other places but I have been here twice and have never had a bad time. Third trip coming in Oct. 09'.

We stayed here last weekend with three other couples. campground was pretty nice sites were a little small and the ones in the parking lot are a little ridicuolous. But the staff was absolutely horrible!! the old lady doing the check in and check out was absolutely rotten!! Don't even think about asking for a late check out. we were told they do not do late checkouts. We where also told we needed to be out because of four people checking in and there was about 15 or so open lots!! i don't reccomend this place at all we will never go back

In my opinion, the campground seemed to be very nice. It was beautiful, but very small. We were there on a holiday weekend and up till the last night, we would have definatley recommended this campground to others. I guess that we just got too comfortable and let our guard down. As far as security, there is none. While there, we had, what we thought was a pretty serious issue on the last evening. The campground personel was informed of the issue and did nothing to act on it. Iwasn't until the following day after several families involved had already checked out, that the owner wanted to come and talk about it and wasn't able to get all of the facts. It seemed as if the owner was more concerned about keeping the n he had at this time was that the camgroud out of bad publicity rather than the safety of the campers.

We camped at Mill Bridge with some friends back in the late 70's. Having had a great time then, we decided to revisit the campground with our 2 year old grandson. They say you can never go back in time - but here you can!. Talk about deja vu! The bathroom facilities have not changed one bit since the 70's, except that they were cleaner and not in a state of disrepair back then. To say that the place is in need of an overhaul is an understatement. If clean restroom facilities are important to you, camp elsewhere. They offer high speed internet, but we had a very weak signal in the middle of the campground. I suspect that those at the far end of the campground were without a signal.
To their credit, the location is great. However, everything else about this place is average or below average. There are plenty of campgrounds in the Lancaster area. Consider them first.

We went to the Mill Bridge Village and Campresort in the summer of 2008, and stayed in one of their cabins. We were unsure what we would find since this was our first "camping" experience and we are not tent people! Definitely prefer the conveniences of home while on vacation! We were extremely happy with the condition of the cabin, and the campgrounds themselves though small were quaint and clean. Our cabin was located at the main entrance, and directly across from us was a beautiful working farm with horses. It was gorgeous to look at while sitting on the outside porch. The cabin itself had a sliding glass door entrance into a living room which had a sleeper sofa and tv/dvd player, kitchen and dining area combo. The kitchen was a full kitchen with all the ammenities, although I have to admit I brought my own coffee pot and in the future would bring my own pots and pans too. I am just a little grossed out by the idea of using others cooking utensils, you may not feel that way and in that case this kitchen is fully stocked and ready to be used. The bathroom was small but adequate, with a fairly new sink, toilet and tub. Again, I really prefer my own things, and had to go to the local store and buy a new shower curtain liner because the one present was dirty. A minor inconvenience, and in the future I would just bring a cheap one from the dollar store. The bedroom had a queen bed and plenty of storage space, along with a tv and cable. There was also a large loft that could be used as an additional sleeping area; for a family with lots of kids this would be a great place to throw all the sleeping bags and let the kids have their own space! In our case we just put all our son's toys up in the loft and it kept everything nice and contained, plus we could just send him up when we wanted a little quiet time for ourselves! It was great to wake up with the sounds of nature all around us, even though we were at the entrance we felt that our site was very private. After a long day in Lancaster it was nice to return "home" to this cozy cabin. Of course there is plenty to do in Lancaster from the Strassburg Railroad to Dutch Wonderland and the Christmas Tree Shop. We took a horse and buggy ride and checked out some of the beautiful scenery in the area. The campresort itself was small but nice, a beautiful in ground pool, fairly new, was just a few feet away from us. Employees were nice and helpful, and were even able to accomodate us when we decided to stay an extra day. Has a nice museum on the grounds that you tour yourself, and also a small playground for the kids. Our visit was the week before labor day, so this may be why we found the grounds to be so quiet and pleasant. As we were leaving the big RV's were just starting to pull in, not sure what this campresort is like at full capacity. All in all we would definitely visit again!

This is a very quiet old fashion campground. The pool is very nice. Its good for a short stay if you plan to do day trips and spend little time and the campground. The sites are super super close together. Also make sure you are not put in the parking lot type paved pull thru sites unless this is something you are ok with. Store owner/workers are older and not real nice to children or adults for that matter. As for activities they have a listing of a few but there are no other campers that hang around during the day to do any of them so most just get cancelled.
