I'm a little late in getting my review in for our June 2010 stay at the Trenthouse Inn, but I must share with fellow travelers the incredibly positive, wonderful stay we all had at this exceptional inn. We were a group of sisters, cousins and aunts, 10 women in all, visiting Fallingwater, and chose the Trenthouse Inn as our place to stay for one night, following our tour. We could not have chosen a better place. Mariann and Juliann are the quintissential hostesses, inkeepers and cooks, all rolled into one. The vintage house itself is worth the visit. It has been lovingly restored with beautiful furniture and exquisite decorating touches. There is every amenity available for your use and enjoyment. When we arrived, we were immediately made to feel welcome by mother and daughter. We arranged to have dinner the evening we arrived, and it was spectacularly delicious, ample, and beautifully presented. After dinner, we felt the need for a walk (we needed to burn off some calories!), so Juliann led us to a nearby park for a beautiful evening walk along the lake. Her delightful dogs keps us company as well. The next morning we were treated to a scrumptious breakfast, including homemade pastries, creme brulee french toast, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The best ever! We had booked the entire house for our group, and hated to leave. I would go back in a heartbeat for the hospitality and the pleasure of visiting with Mariann and Juliann. They treat their guests like family. If you plan to ski in the area in the winter or visit Fallingwater in the spring, summer or fall, this is the best place to stay!
