“Perfect Place for Skiing Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

We booked a room in Ron & Betty's lovely b&b and we are so happy that we stayed there. Ron was wonderful from my very first phone call to inquire about Log Haven. He promptly answered my phone calls and questions. Log Haven is a modern log house with parking directly in front for the guests. Although the b&b is attached to their home, the b&b portion has its own entrance and amenities apart from their house. Upon entering the b&b, they provide places for your ski boots and skis which is a nice amenity. Boots can dry out overnight and they are warmer in the mornings when you leave for skiing. As you go upstairs, the b & b has a wonderful shared common room (there are only two rooms available at the b&b). This space has a television, games, and many puzzles. We enjoyed doing one of the puzzles and it looks like there is always one in progress. There is also a small refrigerator with some of Betty's wonderful peanut butter fudge..yum! Speaking of goodies, Betty also has chocolate chip cookies waiting for you! There are tea and coffee making facilities and this is the room where breakfast is served. Ron and Betty most willingly worked with our schedules and diets. I have quite a few dietary restrictions and Betty most kindly prepared a breakfast that I could have and it was a DELICIOUS breakfast. Ron offered many suggestions for dining in the area and they have a book of menus for surrounding restaurants. We stayed in the larger suite that has a small sitting room with a tv off the bedroom. We also had a private full bath. The b &b is clean and immaculate! We met a nice couple who was staying at the b&b and spent the evening playing one of the games. Several times during the evening, Ron and Betty checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Ron and Betty obviously take pride in running a friendly, clean and wonderful b&b. We spent our days downhill skiing at Seven Springs which is located about 7 miles from the Log Haven B & B. You can't find nicer and friendly people than Ron and Betty! They take great joy in ensuring their guests are taken care of and provided with wonderful accommodations, amenities, and breakfasts!

My goal was to do some cycling along the Great Allegheny Passage rails/trails and I needed a clean and affordable place to stay. Log Haven B&B far exceeded my expectations! Betty and Ron were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The accommodations are clean, quiet, comfortable and charming. Breakfast was great and plentiful and Betty even made cookies for me to take on the ride! Sharing homemade chocolate chip cookies with others on the trail sure helped me win friends along the way!

Room Tip: There are two rooms to choose from and I chose the upstairs room, which was great!

Ron and Betty are wonderful hosts. Ron is extremely clear, detailed, thorough, and organized with everything - which I really really appreciate! Ron and Betty are prepared for any needs you might have. Betty also makes delicious breakfast, as well as cookies and peanut butter fudge for your arrival. The log cabin is beautiful. It's small (only two rooms), which was nice because we had the place to ourselves while we were there. The location is secluded and peaceful.

Ron and Betty are perfect hosts for your stay and very knowledgeable about the area.

We had the upstairs room which worked out fine. Ambiance is nice as everything is knotty pine, plenty of food for breakfast.

Easy drive to Fallingwater, Kentuc Knob, and the Flight 93 Memorial.

We stayed for a long weekend at the Log Haven B&B. Betty and Ron were fantastic, so accommodating and pleasant. We really enjoyed their breakfasts and even took home a recipe! The cabin is very charming and provides everything you need at an extremely reasonable price!!! The location is pretty remote. Most amenities are 10 minutes away in local towns. But Seven Springs is very close. We were there over the weekend and almost missed the closing to get a pizza at Dough Girls. We were surprised a pizza shop would close by 8pm on a Saturday night!

We stayed at Log Haven B&B because it was real close to some of PA's finer cross-country ski trails in Rocky Ridge State Park. What a find! Nice cosy little place run by 2 of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Clean, quiet, good breakfast and very reasonably priced. We'll probably stay there frequently in the future.

Betty and Ron are fantastic. They provided great info on things to do in the area. Great service for bikers. They'll take you to and pick you up at the trail. Genuinely nice people with a great B&B. If you are looking for a great place to stay with outstanding service, you should stay at Log Haven.
