“Lots of noise Manager did not care!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2007

When I called the Days Inn to book a room, I specifically requested a quiet room. The young man on the phone was extremely accomodating, as was the other young man at the Front Desk when we checked in. It seemed like this was a good choice. However, the second night that we were there, our entire floor was rented out to some type of a school sports team. From the moment this group checked in it was a nightmare! Members of the team were running up and down the entire hallway, slamming doors, throwing shoes against the doors, screaming at the top of their lungs. The coach of the team had a room directly across the hall from us and I very nicely asked him if we should change our room due to the excessive noise. He assured me that it would die down. That night there was LOUD partying all night long. The kids were running up and down the hall, from one room to the next and slamming the doors as hard as they could. We called down to the Front Desk and were informed that the parents of these children were in the lounge and had been told to keep their children under control.. a request that was completely ignored. We called down several times, but it was to no avail. I don't think any of the parents ever came up to supervise and the management was obviously not in control of the situation. The next morning we asked to see the Manager. Although the young men at the Front Desk were always polite and helpful, the Manager was a different story. She couldn't have cared less about our experience, and offered to give us a refund of something like $3.00! She said the rate we had booked at was the absolutely lowest--which I found out later was NOT the truth. And that there was nothing else she could do. She then turned and rudely walked away. In all fairness, I will say that the room was clean, the Continental breakfast in the lobby was very nice and again, the young men at the Front Desk were really wonderful... the Manager could have learned from them. But this woman was terrible & didn't care at all. We left there exhausted due to a completel lack of sleep. And I specifically requested a QUIET room. I would never stay at a Days Inn again!

  • Liked — Clean room/continental breakfast/fast check-in
  • Disliked — NOISE,unable to get any sleep, and a rude unprofessional Manager (cant remember her name)
