“One of the best kept secrets in Quakertown”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

They have Excellent food, the staff is very friendly and just an all around wonderful place to go. Especially nice in the Spring, Summer and Fall when you can sit outside on their lovely patio. Last time we went, we went with 2 other couples and had a fabulous time. You must try their Scallops wrapped in Bacon or Potsticker Appetizers. Their nightly specials are always fabulous!

“Quaint tavern restaurant in Quakertown”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

It has been a few years since I have been to the Brick Tavern, but recently went there to have dinner with a relative who lives in the area.

Called on a Wednesday to get a reservation for Saturday; my preferred time was indeed available. When we arrived, we were promptly seated, and I noticed the restaurant was almost completely full. So make a reservation if planning to go on a weekend!

Service was very personable and not rushed. Enjoyed the brie appetizer, and the mushroom soup was delicious. The house dressing is a champagne vinaigrette, and interesting and very tasty twist. Entrees we chose included chicken parm and two specials: a rigatoni sausage and pepper casserole, and a flounder.

All we delicious. While the sides are "fixed" (our day was roasted potatoes along with green beans and carrots), they certainly allow some changing around. We asked for the side vegetables instead of pasta with the chicken parm, and it was gladly handled.

They are closed Mondays.

If I lived closer, we'd probably go more often.

“Good Country Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Located on Old Bethlehem Pike, it is a small but very busy restaurant. Can be a bit noisy depending upon the clientele. The staff is very good and very friendly. The menu has a good selection of seafood and meat dishes with daily specials. The seared tuna was spiced well and served with a great vegetable garnish and enough ginger---many places skimp on the ginger. Crab cakes were moist and tasty. Good quality crab and little filler. Served with rice and perfect julienned vegetables. Portions are large. Desserts looked good and are homemade but I passed.

“Great Attention to detail”

Dinner was delayed due to kitchen error. They compt our dinner without us asking or complaining. WOW How often does that happen.

“Nice place in the country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Had a very good dinner with my wife at the bar. The food was very tasty and the service and timing were very good as well. Wife loved the Chicken Oscar. I had the Tuscany Chicken which was a touch rich, but still good. Prices are very fair for portion and quality. Bill was $62 with a $10 specialty drink and the addition of a bowl of soup. Definitely worthy of a return trip.
