The building and grounds were much nicer than we expected (much better in person than on the B&B's website). They have several patios and amazing landscaping that looks onto a sweeping lawn and forest.
The building is lovely rustic architecture; the rooms are spacious and very clean. The decor is old-fashioned and pretty corny-- it's definitely "country charm" and rather than chic or modern.
If you're looking for outdoorsy activities, this place is located just about 10 minutes from the main entrance of Black Moshannon State Park, which is extremely well-kept and has lots of lovely trails for hiking and mountain biking.
The hosts cook and serve a hearty family-style breakfast to all the guests. The food isn't great but it's plentiful and served with a smile.
We really appreciated the little generous things about this place-- for example, there are homemade cookies and tons of other snacks and drinks stocked in the guests' kitchen for the taking. Our room also had an awesome gas fireplace. These little things earned the 5 stars.
