We arrived at the Omni William Penn after about a 5 hour drive and a half day at work. We dropped our car off with the valet, and the bellman took our bags. At the front desk we were greeted by a smiling and very friendly staff. Priceline had apparently set us up with a two double-beds room, which they happily changed to a king.
This was our first time in Pittsburgh, and we were amazed by how clean and beautiful of a city it was, it was not the rusting steel city we imagined it might be. The William Penn seemed centrally located and we attended a Pirates game that night. We directed ourselves to PNC Park with an easy to read map the hotel gave us. The walk from the hotel to the stadium was refreshing and we took in the city's amazing architecture along the way. The Pirates won, and the walk back late at night seemed very safe.
We spoiled ourselves the next morning and orderd breakfast in bed, I had the steak and eggs, with the eggs over medium, my wife had the eggs benedict. Both meals were excellent.
I would recommend the Omni William Penn to anyone visiting the Steel City, and if we go to Pittsburgh again, we won't name our own price, but gladly choose the Omni William Penn outright at the going rate.
