“Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I recently decided to spend the weekend in Pittsburgh...enjoying the casino and some shopping in the area. I booked the Omni not knowing exactly what to expect. What I found was a great hotel! The only problem that we had was locating the hotel..it's right downtown and the GPS was having an issue with the taller buildings...once we found it everything went smoothly. There are two parking options at the hotel. You can valet park for $29.00/night or you can park in the parking garage across the street for $5.00. We decided to do the valet parking since we were taking the car out later that evening and it was just easier than trying to park in the garage twice. The valet was very friendly and helpful. The front desk attendant was wonderful. She was so pleasant and helpful. Gave us a great room with a view of the downtown. The only thing I will say about the hotel is that is large and a little confusing to navigate. We found ourselves on the wrong floor more than once when trying to find the restaurant and lobby but we really didn't mind as the hotel itself is so beautiful it was nice to see more of it! We had dinner in the taproom. Service was a bit slow at first but the food was absolutely amazing and at a very reasonable price! The rooms were beautifully decorated. The bathroom was a bit small as others have noted but it really wasn't a problem and the room itself was huge for a hotel room. We really enjoyed our stay here and I would definitely make a return visit if I were staying in the area!

“Comfortable, Historic Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We were in Pittsburgh for an athletic recruiting visit to Duquesne and also to visit family. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and the room was huge with 2 bathrooms! The beds were two doubles and for four people we would have been more comfortable with two queens. The Tap Room was a fun place to have drinks and see many sports fans on the way to the Penguins game. The hotel is really beautiful in an historic traditional way. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when visiting Pittsburgh.

“Omni Pittsburgh Review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

I recently stayed at this hotel on a business trip. And I must say that as cold and wintery as it felt outside the service was as warm and inviting on the inside. After a quick and courteous checkin I entered my room which was larger than your standard/average hotel room. Spacious, warm and inviting is how I would characterize the room, despite the smallish bathgroom. The room had a more than adequate "business" area with a well appointed desk and more than adequate electrical outlets. The room also had a roomy king sized bed. The lobby area is energetic and almost always populated with guests. The lobby area restaurants were also filled with hungry guests. The loby is obviously the centerpiece of this fine hotel which is also connected to a Starbucks store. Also ordered roomservice and both the service and food were quick and delicious. If you ever have to stay in downtown Pittsburgh by all means please do stay at the Omni Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor.

“Like the Waldorf Lobby”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Did a one nighter here this week which was my first visit. Had a small dinner with a group of business associates from around the world (20 people). Open bar, hors d'oeuvres and dinner. The dinner was good, bar service excellent and dinner service superb (quiet and unobtrusive). Table was set nicely and wait staff was accomodating to requests "on the fly."

Room: Clean and large, but not set up for the businessman. A paucity of outlets, lighting that was a tad too low and a desk that was really only a table.
Bed was comfortable, TV standard flat screen.

Breakfast was really good. Great service and efficient delivery. Great range of well prepared food.

35 Minutes from airport ($36 cab fare) in moderate traffic.
