“In the heart of the Strip DIstrict”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

This is a part of the Pittsburgh experience, it is a MUST do on your bucket list. The place has not change much over the years. Which is a GOOD thing. Will be VERY busy on weekends and at Lunch during the week. Try for 10 AM on a weekday. Food is very very good and the service staff know how to do their jobs. I enjoy sitting at the counter close to all the action...

“Nice Breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

The food is LARGE and in charge. I had a huge omelet, but the taste was just pretty standard, the vegetables were raw though. Always pretty busy, so hard to get any service. It is someplace to visit at least once.

“The place to go for breakfast in Pittsburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012 via mobile

We had to wait about 20 minutes but well worth it. The restaurant is located in a part of town with neat shops, delis, wine outlets, coffee houses , etc. The portions are quite large. I had the pumpkin pancakes- they were the best pancakes I have ever eaten. Also ordered poached eggs- they were perfectly made- and bacon. The bacon was thick sliced and char grilled- different and nicer than "ordinary" bacon. My dining companions had the breakfast burrito and the Moab-a chorizo - stuffed tortilla with eggs, peppers, tomatoes, onions, avocado , and cheddar with home fries, sour cream, and sauce. Good coffee too. Friendly, hard working staff. Try it,

“THERE IS NO BETTER”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

DeLuca's can't be outdown. It is a one of a kind gem. You can't get more delicious food and serving sizes. The wait staff works at a frantic pace efficiently and they are BUSY! DeLuca's IS 'THE BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN'.

“THE Pittsburgh breakfast place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

O.K., it's got lousy, dirty bathrooms, is noisy, crowded & hard to get into on the weekends, but man the food is good & service fast. This is my husbands favorite breakfast place, a close second would be Pamela's (cleaner, quieter, but very different, although good). The eggs are super fresh (they must go through THOUSANDS every weekend) and along with the wonderful sausage & bacon are all perfectly prepared to your wishes. Once in, you can order, eat & get out of there very quickly. Which you'll want to do on weekend mornings, since it's so very crowded & noisy. Despite that & my concerns regarding overall cleanliness, I keep going. Have never been sick, so I guess it's clean enough. It certainly is an experience! I only go for breakfast though.
