“overrated.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

great ambiance--sort of romantic.... but the food is overrated. my chicken at the hibachi was overcooked! (shrimp was delicious though!) and probably overpriced, too. i will say the rest of the meal was delicious though! another time i went for sushi... my friend loved it but she is more adventurous than i am--i prefer shrimp, and my choices were very limited. i'd recommend this place for a date, although i have been to better hibachis before....

“Excellent Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

We usually head here once or twice a year because it is good but pricey. We had a reservation for 5:30--were told we could not have one for 6:00. The weird thing is we were late due to traffic, but were able to be seated at 5:50. The restaurant was not very crowded when we arrived, so I was confused as to why 6:00 was not acceptable in the first place.

The seating can be kind of tight because they try to cram as many people as possible into each hibachi area.

As for the food, it is awesome. From the appetizer to the main meal, everything is fresh and cooked right in front of you. Be certain, this place is not cheap, but for a nice night out once in a while, it is worth it.

The kids enjoyed the meals and the flashing ice cubes ($4 each!).

If you are in town, try it out!

“Don't bother”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012 via mobile

Most overrated place in the city. People only go there, because on the off chance there might be a Steeler in the place. I once believed the point of making a reservation was to...make a reservation. Made one for 7:00, that got pushed back to 9, then 10 on a Friday night. Worse, the staff made no attempt to correct their mistake--which was the fact they overbooked. Wy take reservations if you can't accommodate? Is this place really that popular? Best place for sushi in the area is Giant Eagle Market District, and that's no lie. Save yourself trouble and hassle and go to any of the other hibachi places besides here.

“Best Sushi in Pittsburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Hands down this place has the best sushi in Pittsburgh. My girlfriend and I love soushi and like to try different places when we travel. We came across this place with the "Shoushi Finder" app on her iPhone. They got some really nice local rolls. The $41-$80 is the price range if you sit at the grill tables. You can get a roll for as cheap as 6$... Check the shoushi platters they offer the best deal and two people can split one. I think the one we got was 18$ and it had 22 pieces of shoushi which is basically like four rolls. The shoushi platters also come with soup and salad or 2 soups or 2 salads. So its definately shareable.

i don't have any big problem with this place... I enjoy the food, the sushi, the hibachi Cooks.. It is all delicious and entertaining. It's just a bit overpriced...
