“Spanish, Continental, The Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

The best European continental food anywhere. Giant portions, vibrant and exciting atmosphere, this place has it all. My faves: baby goat or any shrimp dish.

“Say no to the Paella”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

A popular weekend eating establishment. Being a Spanish restaurant we decided to go with a traditional Spanish dish, the Paella. Started with a shrimp cocktail and stuffed mushrooms. Shrimp were of nice size, and cocktail sauce not too bad. The stuffed mushrooms were a bit watery, I would suggest using a bit more butter during preparation and substitute finely diced green onion for pimiento. The meal came with bread, and a side salad with what tasted like French dressing (no salad dressing of choice). The Paella itself was not exceptional, in fact, my wife makes a better one. The Paella had assorted clams (in the shell), shrimp, slices of Italian sausage and chicken (unfortunately the chicken was extremely dry) accompanied by the basic Paella spanish rice. Didn't find that it had much of a flavor. Finished off with a very sweet dessert and coffee. A side order of garlic steamed baby carrots, green beans, broccoli and cauliflower was just ok (obviously doesn’t require much in the way of preparation). Vegetables lightly fried in an open skillet with butter and salt/pepper are so much better. The potato chips (chips…. not fries) was a decent substitute for fries. Looking around at the other tables, we may have simply ordered the wrong dish as the prime rib, delmonico and double lobster tails we saw on other tables looked to be better than what we had ordered. The servings are somewhat large, so in most cases, one order is sufficient for 2. A heads up, a small pitcher of sangria and a beer came to >$17. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly and provided all of the guests with a free aperitif. I would probably go again, but not order the Paella.

“Suprisingly good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

We were in Pittsburgh for a day and were recommended this place for lunch.
I had the Paella Valencia, very good dish. My wife had sword fish and it was very good and tender. The other 3 had Vieras Costa del Sol, steak and veal. Bread and vegy are unlimited.

“Wonderful!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

My husband and I stayed on the South side of Pittsburgh this past weekend and decided to try here for dinner. We are so happy that we did. My husband kept telling me the establishment itself and the waiters were from a different era. It was a classy experience. He had the Prime Rib which is not for the faint of heart. He ate it and literally took the rest home and ate for two more days on it. It was that generous of a cut and it was amazing. I had a grilled fish special which was equally as good. What great waiters. They could not do enough for us and we appreciated all of their hard work. What a wonderful evening we had here. On a final note, as we were leaving my husband asked, who we presumed to be the owner, where he could get a cigar in the area to enjoy later. He disappeared and came back with a cigar for my husband ( a good one) and told him not to worry about it and just take it. We were a bit taken aback at this generous and classy move. What a class act this establishment and owner is. If you are looking for an enjoyable meal and experience, please do not hesitate to try here. Well done Mallorca!

“Unique and Delicious Dishes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

There are many great sounding dishes to choose from here... almost too many. The DUCK was amazing... I really wanted to pick it up and get every last morsel off of the bone.

The SANGRIA..... wow... none better!

The coffee drinks are amazing as well... presentation is beautiful and the drink, yummy.

The offering of the almond liquor is the perfect ending to a perfect meal!

Generous portions too.
