This is a unique dining experience. The restaurant is in an old firehouse in the strip district. There are a couple of outside tables on Penn Avenue and only a little bit of seating inside (maybe 50 including the bar). It is sort of a tapas restaurant with a very small menu. There were perhaps a dozen starters (ranging from $5-12) three entrees (which the server describes) and two desserts. We (there were five of us) had a meat and cheese plate, stuffed dates, pork bites and lamb tartar. All were excellent. The entrees were scallops over creamed corn, flat iron steak and fettuccine. Small portions but very good although we all agreed that the scallops were over cooked. The wine list is equally abbreviated but quite unique and reasonably priced. The fun part is the cocktail menu which has a wonderful collection of drinks you've never heard of made with brands of liquor you can't get anywhere else. The clientele is equally unique. Wide range of ages and dress (ranged from a woman in a cocktail dress to a couple,in tee shirts, shorts and bare footed). Attentive waiters, lots of free parking; a nice place to hang out at with friends for drinks and a light meal.
