“Great Burgers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

Benjamin's has wonderful, unique burgers. The quality of the burgers is top-notch! There is also a decent selection of beer on tap for such a small place. The servers were very polite and we were served our food and drinks quite promptly. Next time we are in town, we will go back!

“Great DIY Sunday Bloody Mary Bar!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

We stumbled upon Benjamin's on our way to see the Steelers at Heinz Field. We did not eat but had a few drinks at the bar and were very impressed with their DIY Bloody Marys. You choose your vodka at the bar and then they have a table set up in the corner with several different bloody mary mixes (chipotle, spicy, etc) and various stuff to add to your liking (celery, horseradish, limes, capers, olives, etc.). We will make this a regular pre-game stop in the future!

“Great menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Unique menu with great beer selection. I had a smoked salmon sandwich and my husband had a burger. We loved that their burgers were made from ground sirloin, brisket, and short rib. I've never seen that in a burger before, so it was a great unexpected touch. Pasta salad on the side was a nice choice. Only complaint was that one member of the staff was talking loudly about business while doing chores at the bar. It distracted us from an otherwise excellent lunch.

“HORRIBLE SERVICE”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013 via mobile

I have never had such poor service EVER. It was lunch time and there was only one waitress. Not only was she manning the bar but she was also serving and cleaning tables. From the time we were seated it took exactly one hour for us to receive our meal. Perhaps there was a reasonable explantation for the poor service but we did not receive one nor did we receive an apology for the extraordinarily long wait. The food was very good once it did arrive but I would strongly recommend not going during your lunch hour.

“Explore the North Side!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Following a Pittsburgh River Hounds game, some friends and I went to Benjamin’s on Western Avenue. What a good decision that was! The burgers are fantastic, and varied.

I had the Rosemary-Balsamic Goat Cheese & Green Apple, which was cooked to perfection, served on a Bread Works bun, and the Curried Cabbage Cole Slaw. Both were excellent.

They have a wide selection of beers and the wine list is extensive for a burger restaurant.
All of the burgers are made from a combination of brisket, sirloin and short rib and are ground fresh daily. You can substitute a vegetarian patty on any burger on the menu. Gluten free buns are available for a slight extra charge.

All in all, a wonderful addition to Pittsburgh’s North Side! Highly recommended.
