“Great View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

This incline provided a good view of the city and when we went up a short storm cell came in and it started snowing. When it snowed the view became picture perfect and almost "magical."

“Fun when it's not crowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

The incline is a fun thing to do when visitors are in town, not so fun when it's crowded. Took it from Mt. Wash on our way to Station Square. Make sure you have cash, exact change at that, to pay for it. Last I visited the incline, the change machine was out of order and the operators were giving attitude about people not having exact change. All in all, the cart was clean and the view was great.

“Runs smooth”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

We were impressed at how smooth it ran for its age. Confused by the permit Area N parking signage for the metered parking after 6PM, we decided to play it safe and park at the top at a muni lot on Shiloh St between Beam and Virginia. Was only a couple of blocks away and cost a quarter for 15 mins. The cost for the incline is $3.50 for a round trip for adults and you pay at the top. Machines accept bills, but do not give change. There was a change machine available at both the top and bottom station.

“Ride the incline”

Family went to ride the incline and see the spectacular view of Pittsburgh. Spent some time looking at all the photos etc. of the history of the incline.

“Easy trip to a great view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

Park at Station market and ride the incline up to the great views on Mt Washington. Bring some cash (small bills) as they require exact change (they will take more but you won't get anything back!). $3.50 round trip for adults is a real bargain and the overlooks at the top are not to be missed!
