“Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

My husband and I went to Pittsburgh for a concert at Consol Energy Center - while in town, we went to Station Square to go on a Ducky Tour - great fun! We had fun walking through the mall and seeing some of the unique shops and watching the dancing fountain. We went back the next day for Sunday brunch at the Grand Concourse because our Ducky tour guide had said they have the best brunch around - she was right - great food and the restaurant is a beautiful restored train station. Definitely worth spending some time!

“Not really Pittsburgh.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

This was a nice walk, in a beautiful area of Pittsburgh. However, I feel that it was a tourist trap. Everything was so branded and un-original, which is not what my husband & I go for. If we had to go again, we would skip this part.

“Not a destination, but a nice place to stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

With so many things to do in Pittsburgh, I would not list this as "must see destination stop", but if you have the time, or just want to duck the rush hour traffic crawling it's way out of town - then you do well in stopping here. We ate a nice "white" pizza at "Disanto Pizza" - a 18" pizza for $13 that fed three of us.
There is a candy shop where my mother-in -law bought some awesome homemade fudge.
There are two sports gear shops that have some unusual Pittsburgh teams gear.
My favorite place is "Bradley's Book Store". Three of us found stuff to by there. They have some really nice hardbound nonfiction books for $4.98 - $6.98. Good selection on titles.
Take aways: Park in the above ground garage nearby, costs about a dollar an hour.
If you stop here- cross the street and walk over to the wonderful historic throwback- the Monongahela Incline for a wonderful view of the city! (cost $3.50 per adult-roundtrip, Senior Citizens free with proper ID – over 65)

“Fun fountain show!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

We spent a couple of hours in this area after dinner at Buckhead Saloon (see separate review). We were enjoying an ice cream by the fountain when lo and behold, the fountain show started! Great history lesson set to music! Great to hold the kid's attention too! Check it out on your way to the inclined nearby. Lots of restaurants and shopping too!
