“A great view of the 'Burgh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

A great spot for a photo op with the Steel City in the background. The West End Overlook is the "little sister" vantage point of the city and not commercially developed like Mt Washington. Find a parking spot along the street and walk out on one of the many overlooks for a breath-taking view. Pittsburgh isn't the powerhouse of industry like it used to be. The mighty US Steel building is now owned by a medical group but it's still an impressive structure with it's unique triangular shape and rusty color. And the PPG Glass Cathedral is impressive as well. The view from Mt Washington let's you see them all in their glory. There are also any number of excellent restaurants on Mt Washington and the old incline still gives visitors rides up and down the face of the hill. A great way to spend some time and have a meal.

“A Must for First Visitors to Pittsburgh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

If you have never been to Pittsburgh, you will be pleasantly surprised by how pretty the city is. Take the tram up to Mt. Washingotn across from downtown and get a great view of this underrated city. People are also very friendly.

“The View from Mount Washington”

We rode up one incline and walked a mile to the other one and rode down. The view from the top of the mountain was spectacular!

“No Place Compares”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

No place compares to Mount Washington in Pittsburgh. Best view of the city and it has some of the best restaurants and eateries in the city. Clear nights are the best, but even on overcast days its great. You will not find any other city like Pittsburgh with its Mount Washington.

“Great View of Pittsburgh, Rivers and Bridges”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

Excellent viewing and photo-taking vantage point for this beautiful and interesting city. I recommend the drive up to the viewing area, parking is not difficult. Walk along the overlook and take pictures. A couple of wedding parties were using the Pittsburgh skyline as a backdrop for pictures on the Saturday I was there. No need to take the incline as it really doesn't give you a better perspective than the overlook does.
