A great spot for a photo op with the Steel City in the background. The West End Overlook is the "little sister" vantage point of the city and not commercially developed like Mt Washington. Find a parking spot along the street and walk out on one of the many overlooks for a breath-taking view. Pittsburgh isn't the powerhouse of industry like it used to be. The mighty US Steel building is now owned by a medical group but it's still an impressive structure with it's unique triangular shape and rusty color. And the PPG Glass Cathedral is impressive as well. The view from Mt Washington let's you see them all in their glory. There are also any number of excellent restaurants on Mt Washington and the old incline still gives visitors rides up and down the face of the hill. A great way to spend some time and have a meal.
