“Beautiful galleries”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Visited on the weekend with the beautiful flower displays.
We probably wouldn't have made a special trip for the art museum, but enjoyed it as a "throw in" with the natural history museum that is attached. One price - two museums. Pretty cool. Saw contemporary as well as traditional works. Lots of space - beautiful galleries.

Beautiful modern building well lit and organized. Particularly good impressionist and modern art. The contemporary art area was closed till June 2013. Good cafe for lunch.

I visited Carnegie library just next to Carnegie museum of Art. I participated in the free conversation class which held every week for non English speakers. The library has special sections for kids and so om. worth visiting :)

“The Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

The Carnegie museums are a Pittsburgh treasure and should not be missed.
The Carnegie Museum of Art has excellent docent tour programs to suit anyones needs (even people with Alzheimer's disease and their caretakers) and a lot of good art and this year they will host the Carnegie International. The history museum has a popular dinosaur exhibit among other amazing things. The Science Center houses a wonderful train display and a host of interactive exhibits. And of course there is the Warhol which is in a class all by itself.
There are evening hours on Thursday and special events throughout the year so do give it a look; you will not be dissappointed.
