I do not know where to begin. Okay..I will start off with some positives because there are not as many of those as there are negative.
The Front desk staff were friendly. The food at the little open restaurant/bar area was good. Now for the negatives. My family of 5 arrived there staying a 2 night stay in a 2 bed room with a sleeper sofa. The front desk staff said they are putting us up on the top floor which requires a special access in the elevator to get to the floor.
There were no sheets for the sofa just the blanket...okay no biggie right?? Well that is only the beginning. No iron, food or crumbs on the floor from the front of door out in the hallway leading into our room and all around the bed area, note pad with notes underneath the desk, a silly band bracelet on the floor, not enough bath towels for us, the end of a toilet roll placed on top of the toilet rack are just a few observations about the initial look of the room. Then we felt like there were more people in the room with us as we hear voices so clear we knew the exact conversations of the people in the next room. They were not screaming just talking. My husband and I even had the maintenance person who kept bringing us all the items we were missing listen as well. He completely agreed and even discovered that the wall connecting to the other room next door to us was not connected (structurally speaking). There was a massive gap thus allowing the the sound to travel so clearly. We told the front desk and said we could have 2 rooms both with one king bed and a sleeper sofa in them. We asked to see the rooms they were speaking of to see if the problem would be the same. Well the ceiling was in worse shape and the sound travel the same way.
We decided to go ahead with the 2 rooms and split up the family as we felt we could control the sound factor more easily if it was coming from us than deciding at 1 am in the morning in the original room.
The rooms we took had more housekeeping issues but we were so tired of contacting the front desk that we decided to let them know in the morning.
The room amenities like bath and body works and Wolf Gang Puck coffee would have been more enjoyed if that money was spent on building the structure better. By the way..it only opened in Dec. 2010. For a hotel that had advertised they were environmentally concerned they did not even have a recycle bin like many of the Hilton Brand hotels.
The location is not close to food places so we stuck with the hotel bar place since it was decent. Parking is $14.00 a day (just an fyi) and I would not recommend for families. The sink was the new style sinks that are set way way way too high for young ones to spit out their tooth paste. The pool starts at a little over 3 feet and the workout room is adjacent to the pool.
At the check time we had the same staff member as we did with check in and who was familiar with our issues. She gave us $50.00 off our bill ( basically paid for one of our meals at their bar/restaurant). Hope this helps for some to make your decision easier whether to go with this hotel or not.
