“Great Coffee, Cool Vibe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

A great location with exceptional service, flavorful coffee, and excellent pastry and bread options. If you want a cozy cup in excellent company, check out Soltane. My only critique is that the hours can be a bit odd - it would be great if they could be open earlier and later. If you can hit their window of activity, be prepared for creative culinary delights and comforting coffee offerings.

“Delicious Baked Goods, Cozy Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Don't leave your visit to this tiny gem for late in the day: the baguettes, breads, croissants, scones, and other fresh-baked morsels fly off the shelves. Coffee and teas are prepared with care in a European style--and all in support of Camphill Soltane.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

We just made our second visit to Soltane. The breads and pastries, as well as the coffee, are amazing! Everything is made there. The plum butter is also really good and I'm looking forward to trying the other spreads.

The only problem is that lots of people have discovered Soltane and there are lines and very few tables...a tribute to the excellence of the food. Tables are now going out onto the sidewalk and it will be so nice to sit outside and relax.

Plan to go there if you visit Phoenixville.

“Best Cafe Mocha”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Great place for a hot cafe mocha and rugelach. Don't forget to take bread home, we loved the ciabatta bread! Staff is very friendly!

“The New Must See In The Philadelphia Area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

I was enjoying my "Sunday experiment" - a buttery, flaky croissant cut open and laid flat, covered with cream cheese, cashew bits, and honey and warm out of the oven. It was oh, so awesome. Then across the cafe, "OH MY GOWD!" and a well-dressed 40-something ran up to the counter and told the baker, "this is FANTASTIC!" She, too, had just tried the baker's "Sunday experiment." It was her first time there and she was immediately sending a photo of the creation to her friend. You better get there before this place gets so popular you can't get in. They are now open Sundays, too.
Soltane has far and above the best bread you will find anywhere and the croissants are so flaky, buttery and incredibly fantastic they are, indeed, better, yes I said better, than you get nowadays in France. The secret to the bread is the unique wood-fired oven and the best doughs in old-world tradition. Scones and other pastries are all hand-made, fresh, and delicious. They are now selling their own Christmas Stollen. The coffee is also the best around, especially the mocha - made with a chunk of real chocolate, not the usual squirt of syrup. The service is also sooo friendly. All this to benefit the Camphill program for developmentally disabled. This is way beyond excellent. Great food, great service, great cause. Go there. Now.
