5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Did an overnight stay with six college friends...the location was perfect to the outlets, Park City Mall, Rainbow Dinner Theater and other activities we wanted to do. The rooms were exceptionally clean, furnished, and the beds most comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel as I am sure the other 5 friends would to.

My family and I stayed here one night for an impromptu visit to Lancaster County. Having a 5 year old, the pool was a nice feature. Especially since it was cold outside. Everything was clean and the breakfast was amazing and FREE! We would definitely stay there again. What a great find. Very close to the outlets, Dutch Wonderland, and Cherry Crest Farms.

The BW is the BEST. Large rooms with a dining space. Close to outlet shopping and Amish smorgasbords. Clean, and spacious grounds. Great pool. Great breakfast. All served up at a reasonable price. GO!!!

Just came back from the Best Western Plus Revere Tavern. We were so impressed. We stayed in the main building. We had a handicapped room on the first floor. As we entered the hotel lobby the first thing we saw was the indoor pool. We did have to wait for check in until 3:00 pm. That's ok, there is so much to keep you busy in Amish Country. When we were able to check in we found we had a huge room with handicap amenities. The room was clean, refrigerator was spotless, as well as the bathroom. There was a huge table and 2 comfortable chairs. Found them very useful since we had 2 days of rain. The breakfast was plentiful and well planned out. Overall, we were very impressed by hotel and will definitely go back.

Room Tip: There is the annex and the main building. The annex is closer to the outdoor pool. The main building...

At first, I was disappointed that I was not placed in the main building because this hotel has a main building and one across the parking lot. I had read that in the main building the rooms were much nicer and bigger, but I didn't have a chance to find out. So you might want to check that out before you book. On the other hand the, I was put in the first floor in front of the outside pool, I didn't mind because I could keep and eye on my 11 year old that loves the pool. And the room was comfortable for the four of us. Bathroom was small, but everything was clean, beds were clean and they did housekeeping every morning. Breakfast was great! Hot waffles, hot breakfast sandwiches, fruit, bagels, and cold cereal, you have choices!!. The front staff was so-so. But close to all the outlets, Christmas shop, not far from Turkey Hill or Hershey Park. But there are many other hotel closer to the Outlets, and prices are all over the board and reviews for all Lancaster hotels are IFFY!! so hard to determine what your going to really get. Happy Booking!!

Room Tip: The Hotel has two building!! you might want to check in advance which you would prefer. I didn'...

We stayed at this hotel about 7 years ago and this was one of the places on the top of our list for this trip. I have found that most hotels in the Lancaster area are overpriced but that has to do with the area. While this hotel is still a little on the high side, it is one of the cheaper hotels in the area for a very good hotel. With AAA discount, this hotel is affordable. ($230 for two nights with 2 Queen beds.)

This hotel is EXTREMELY clean in both the public areas and the guest rooms. We did not use the pool this time, but it appeared clean as well.
The breakfast is normal. and includes the usual cereals, breads, bagels and donuts. But the breakfast also has a selection of breakfast sandwiches that you can heat up in the microwave and two waffle makers. The one thing that the breakfast was missing was fresh fruit. They had some sort of fruit bowl with canned fruit (melon, oranges, etc.) but no bananas or apples that you could grab to eat. The breakfast attendants did a great job keeping the area stocked. The eating area is light and inviting but somewhat small for the size of hotel. (and of course, you have people who sit for an hour after eating chatting....which adds to the problem.)

There are two sections to this hotel...a newer section where the indoor pool, breakfast area and front desk are located and an older section not attached to the new section next to the outdoor pool. Most of the negative reviews of this hotel seem to come from people who have stayed in the older section. The older section rooms have two double beds, are smaller and have outside entrances to the rooms. The newer section has interior corridors and is newer with 2 Queens or a King bed in them. We stayed in the newer section.

The room was fantastic. Far better than I remember from before. We had two queen beds, a table with two chairs and a recliner. The beds were very comfortable and EACH side of each bed has a small nightlight above it so whoever is sleeping in that space could read with the night light on and not disturb others. If you have small children who are afraid of the dark, these little lights could be helpful there as well without lighting up the whole room.
The bathroom was large with a large tub. (I hate hotels that have the small shower/tub!). While the sink is located in the same room with the tub and toilet, there is a vanity with mirror and stool to sit at outside the bathroom. (and the lights for the vanity shine in such a way as not to light up the whole room if someone is sleeping.) There is also a closet with full mirrored doors. A very nice room set up. The free WiFi worked great and was fast.

The only problems with the room were that it seemed somewhat dark...even with all the lights on because there are not that many of them. And there are not a lot of available outlets especially behind the nightstand due to all the plugs for the nightlights. (I had to unplug one of the nightlights to plug in my Cpap machine.

The staff is very friendly and excellent. It was one of the quickest check ins that I have experienced and a very quick checkout as well. As a gift for guests, we got a coupon for two free bottles of water from the small shop that we could redeem at any time.

The location of this hotel is south of the main "tourist" section of Lancaster. While it is still on Rt. 30, it not the four lane part. By using some nearby "backroads" (ask the staff for directions.), you can get to Strausburg, Ronks, Intercourse, Bird in Hand and the Sight and Sound Theater without going very far on busy Rt. 30. (the new section of the hotel sits back far enough from the road that noise is not an issue.). If you want to go to the Outlet Malls or that area of Rt. 30, it is just about 2 miles down Rt. 30. There are a couple nice restaurants nearby to eat at including one of the big Smorgasbord's in the area.

Overall, a very nice and reasonable hotel. I recommend this hotel for the Lancaster area and will stay here again when we return to the area.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room with 2 Queen beds or a King Bed. The rooms with 2 double beds are in the ol...

We have stayed in this hotel previously, but not for several years. It still has a very nice indoor pool, with good hours and plenty of clean towels poolside. It also has a complimentary breakfast, kind employees, and its "off the street" location is good for a quiet, restful sleep free from traffic noise. But we were surprised at some items: complimentary cookies and lemonade were available in the lobby, but not every day or at a predictable time. The furniture in our room was clean, but the desk chair had three rips, and an easy chair was worn and faded. Our room also had peeling wallpaper, particularly in the bathroom. There were brochures to be picked up, but no one knew where one store's location was, and microwave breakfast sandwiches? - yuck!

Room Tip: Back building is quiet and has the pool/hot tub available.
