“Nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

We stayed one night at this hotel with other family members because we were seeing Jonah at the Sight & Sound theater. This hotel was a very good value and in a good location for what we wanted to go. I think it was about a 10 minute drive. Because it was Black Friday, we didn't want to stay anywhere near the outlets, so this fit the bill!

The people who worked there were courteous, and the included breakfast was good. The kids liked swimming in the indoor pool. The room was fine and suited our needs.

We have stayed here before and were not disappointed this time. It is a very clean motel with a very friendly staff. The breakfast is very nice and worth a visit. The pool, hot tub and surrounding area are kept very clean. We visit the area fairly regular and will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the annex and they did warn about the road noise but it didn't bother us. The room has a timed fireplace (gas or electric, not sure which) and a large bed. The "English Bath" was PERFECT. We enjoyed it a little too much. The bathroom was very large and very clean.

I don't know how the main building is but I'd definitely recommend room 103. My parents recommended it to us- and they were right. Great room, Great price.

Room Tip: Room 103 is not right on the road - it's one off the road. They warn about road noise but I didn...

We spent a weekend at the Best Western at Paradise, PA. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. Our room was ready early and we were able to go and relax after a 3 1/2 hour drive. The room was huge and very clean. The shower was brand new and sparkling. We found the king size bed to be very comfortable. On Sunday morning, we enjoyed a very nice selection of hot and cold food at the continental breakfast. The only negative here was that the breakfast area is right along side the front doors to the lobby and since it was a chilly weekend, when the doors opened, it got a bit drafty. But I'm sure during much milder weather, this would not be an issue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel.

Easily accessible off Rt 30, room was quite large (queen bed and sitting suite), breakfast had wide range of choices (I'm gluten free and found good choices), pool is off to side in front (no chlorine smell in rooms).

Room Tip: Musical Theater uses same parking lot. It wasn't running anything while we were there; not sure...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

I stayed at this hotel in January, and I would be pretty comfortable coming back. It's a toss-up between here and the Double Tree in Lancaster (see my review of that one for comparison), and I'm inclined to say I prefer the Double Tree, but they're both pretty good and excellent for the price.

With AAA, I paid all of $125 plus tax for a king, one bedroom suite. The room came with a jacuzzi, a fireplace, two TVs, ample closet space (with mirrored closets, which was a nice touch), and a small kitchen complete with microwave, full-size fridge and freezer, a toaster, and plenty of plates and cups. It really felt more like a small but fancy apartment than a hotel room. There was an incredibly comfortable couch and leather chair next to the fireplace with a decent sized flat screen TV, and while I don't know if the sofa pulls out, I would even recommend this room to small groups, as it was soft enough to sleep on, so much that I almost didn't want to return to the bed (which was also comfortable). The shower had great water pressure, and the jacuzzi filled quickly and worked well.

The pool was small and a little cold, but fine. The water was fairly choppy, but that was pretty cool- almost like swimming in a chlorinated lake. The gym was small but well-equipped, with two full body weight machines. Breakfast was cramped and didn't have much of a variety, but it was fine for a free breakfast. There's no room service, but the hotel tavern is just down the road and has tasty if pricey food, friendly if slow service, and a lovely decor. And the location's great if you have a car- one direction takes you into the heart of Amish country, and the other takes you into Lancaster City in all of fifteen minutes (with outlets on your way).

My hair dryer shorted out a couple of times, and while they did send maintenence up with a replacement almost right away, they were very hesitant to extend my checkout, agreeing in the end to no more than fifteen minutes (which I ended up not needing, but still). So that was a bit annoying (I don't blame the concierge, but the policy could use a bit of work). Still, it's a good hotel with a good price. Go for it.
