“One of Lancaster Counties Finest!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

We don't have to leave Lancaster County to enjoy things that are fun and different. There is so much to see close to home. We were out for the evening celebrating 31 yrs. of marriage bliss.
Thank You, Gloria and Joe for a very nice time. We met some very nice ladies from Mass. They come here often for the shopping. We met another couple (also nice) from NY. They too were celebrating their anniversary this week.
Breakfast? WOW! Just about 2 hours of great food and conversation with everyone. Gloria your fruit cup was a work of art. Loved the sausage bake and the scrambled eggs were fluffy.
We had a room reserved. But since there was another room open at the last minute, Joe gave us a tour of both rooms, then gave us a choice.
As a Raggedy collector, I'm always looking for them. There on the bed was a handmade rabbit with? You guessed it. An apron made with Raggedy material. :)
Thank You! God Bless You!
Steve & Joyce

Room Tip: Fireside room gives the romantic touch.

This was my first time staying in a B&B. All I can say is "PERFECT". We were told we would be meeting the Amish for breakfast, and my first thought was I don't think so. Well every morning we were not only greeted by two Amish men but we were served a breakfast fit for a king every morning by Gloria, what a wonderful cook. Joe helped us out with planning all our activity's, and
recommended many great places to eat. We were educated on the Amish, and told many great story's that will be in Joe's book chapter 12. If I had to rate this B&B 1-10 it's a "BIG TEN" so would I go back YES I will. The perfect vacation.

We just stayed at this B&B this past wkend. Heard it was a nice place by a friend of mine that stayed there in the past. When we arrived Joe greeted us & was very friendly & hospitable right from the start. He recommended a nice place for dinner (Fireside Tavern). The next day the breakfast Joe & Gloria made was delicious & plentiful. The couples that we ate with were so very nice. One family was from Australia and had stayed there in the past. Some of the other couples had stayed there several times also. Our room was very cute & cozy. Decorated with frogs everywhere! Loved the old rustic look & feeling. The property & rooms were very well kept. Joe sat with us & gave us names of top places to eat & visit. We did get 2 1/2" of rain the nite we stayed. Whenever we were in Joe's company he treated us like old time friends. He has a great sense of humor. His 2 amish neighbors stopped in to say hello at breakfast time. Wished we could have stayed longer; but will definitely stay again when we head to Lancaster in the future. We bought our first "frog" for decoration at home & when we look at it, it reminds us of our great time at the Frogtown Acres B&B!

Room Tip: Everything was excellent. Bed itself was a little too firm for our liking; not used to it.

My husband and I haven't been to the Lancaster area for over 6 years and returned to go spefically to attend a mud sale. We chose the B & B route since we have had stayed at a few B&B through out the U.S.. WE enjoyed all of them but Frogtown surpassed them all.

We arrived on my Birthday - The inkeepers, Joe and Gloria were very accomodating, allowing us to checkin early, Joe recommended places to eat. His recommendation were right on target.

Having breakfast with all couples seemed like we all got to to feel as we known each other for a long time.Only knowing the other couple for 2 days. Joe arranged to of 2 of the men to particpate in a singing and dance rouitine to celecbrate my birthday. They did a great job.

Food was great- Especially Gloria's oatmeal and her iced apple french toast. The only thing I was looking forward to would have been meeting Joes Amish neighbor. Breakfast were long because Joe had talked, gave stories, but it didn't bother us, We enjoyed learning about each other and laughing. We now realize that their clean rooms, their friendliness, the breakfasts, knowledge of the Amish, made our stay so comfortable then we booked several return trips.

Meticulously maintained grounds and rooms, bucolic surroundings, Amish connections, and a host and hostess that warm your heart with their humor, sincerity, and hospitality. You will not be disappointed, and you will immediately book your next visit before you leave!

Every time we stay with Gloria and Joe, they roll out the Frogtown welcome mat and provide our group of friends with a comfortable and uniquely Frogtown weekend. Spotless rooms, delicious breakfast and conversation only Joe can nurture. A special place we go back to every year.

From the time we arrived to the time we departed we were treated royally. Terrific breakfast with entertainment by Joe. Joe suggested places to go on our one day in the area and he was right on target. You can't beat Frogtown Acres for value, comfort, experience.
