“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2008

Frogtown is the best of the best. We had our 1st stay about 5 years and would never stay anyplace after that. It is the perfect quiet getaway.

Breakfast is the best. The Inn is always clean. The Innkeepers are funny, kind, thoughtful, nice and it is like being with your own family. Breakfast is always a different menu, different dishes and it is great to get to chat with everyone at the table. Joe keeps the conversation rolling and always has a joke or story that will make you laugh. Gloria is always smiling and makes you feel more then welcome. Sometime the Amish neighbors come over and talk with the guest. You can take a walk to a covered bridge around the corner, sit around the outside of the Inn and enjoy the tranquility, farm land, watch the buggies go by and just relax. Our kids love to go and they really enjoy playing games or doing one of many puzzles in the game room. I wish I could go once a month for a relaxing getaway. Thank You Joe and Gloria you are truly a gift from heaven.

This was our first experience at a B&B. My in-laws have been going to Frogtown Acres for 11 years and have wanted us to join them some time. Are we glad that we did! What a wonderful time we had. The Innkeepers, Joe and Gloria, are fantastic people. We left feeling as if we had been friends a lot longer than just a few days. The breakfasts each morning were different dishes - each delicious!!!! Joe's humor and personality encouraged conversation among all guests. Lots of laughts! The alcove room was quaint and comfortable. Seeing the horse and buggies ride by our window made this a unique B&B. We are already planning another visit to Frogtown Acres.

We travel to many B&Bs and there is one that stands alone above the rest. It is Frogtown Acres in Paradise, PA. This delightful B&B as that magical blend of all aspects to make it the perfect place for rest, relaxation and lots of fun. It is nestled amongst Amish farms in a tranquil setting, full of beautiful flowers. The inn has the perfect decor for the area, and is comfortable, clean and charming. The innkeepers, Joe and Gloria are wonderful people who make you feel like family from your first visit. Breakfast is a delicious country spread, served at a wonderful huge table overlooking the farmlands. As you feast on the breakfast, the Amish buggies pass by. If you want to feel warm, love, relaxed, happy and have a delightful time, then run, don't walk to Frogtown Acres!

What a wonderful experience to say the least. The rooms were clean, cozy and beautiful. The breakfast was incredible. We were so full that we didn't have to eat again until dinner and Joe and Gloria, the owner's, were delightful and made us feel like we've known them forever. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and are looking forward to our next visit to Frogtown. Thank you Joe and Gloria!!!!

This bed and breakfast is far past any bed and breakfast around.
The country decor and the yummy full filling breakfasts are just a small part of what Frogtown Acres is. You are greated with warmth, as if the owners have know you for years and they treat you like family. It truly was a relaxing and enjoyable time. I am sorry the previous poster for the review did not see it this way. I am spoiled now as Frogtown will be the only bed and breakfast I stay at while in Lancaster!! What a Ribbiting good time!!!!!

While many have clearly had a wonderful time at this B&B, I cannot say the same myself. I was attracted to Frogtown mainly by its whimsical character and the positive reviews citing its cleanliness, yummy breakfasts, and friendly hosts. Well...in terms of cleanliness, while our room wasn't exactly dirty (except the big swing on the lawn upon which I'd been hoping to relax), it wasn't exactly clean either. My main complaints would be the considerable amounts of dust and the very worn bed linens and furniture. On to breakfast, it was fine for the most part, but it wasn't the big delicious country meal I had expected based on the B&B's web site and others' comments. The best part was the homemade coffeecake; the worst, the hashbrown pattties from the grocery store freezer. The eggs and waffles were alright, but not in any way out-of-the-ordinary. My favorite part about breakfast was the fun decor (giant purple mugs, lots of neat stuff hanging on the walls & from the ceiling) and hearing the stories of the other guests. Personally, I could have done without most of Joe's (the host's) tales of past horrid/quirky guests, as well as the ribbing I experienced myself at his hands. I was disappointed, too, not to have more than a chance to say more than 'hi' to his wife/co-host, whose main role seemed to be cooking/taking reservations.

In all, what I hope to convey to future travelers to Amish country is that if you have pretty high standards for cleanliness, a big appetite hoping for somewhat distinct fare, and/or aversion to humor that singles you (or others) out, then Frogtown Acres is probably not the best choice you can make.

We stopped over here for one night but we had a great time. The innkeepers Joe & Gloria were really friendly and the Alcove Room was comfortably quirky. The breakfast was informal, large but most of all tasty! We particularly liked being right in the heart of "real" Amish country and standing on the deck before breakfast with a cup of coffee while the buggies and wagons trotted by on the way to the fields. A great little B&B, full of character (and frogs). Tremendous value and highly recommended.
