I had been to this restaurant frequently when it was Michael B's, and living close, I've been there several times since the changes.
The biggest change is that they're non-smoking, making the air quality much more pleasant in the bar area, and even in the restaurant. The menu has been pared down and they're no longer trying to be all things to all people.
The new menu leans to bar/comfort food, with an addition of a specials menu that changes frequently and often includes more upscale selections.
What DLP does best is bar food. Appetizers like chicken fingers, sliders and quesadillas are all outstanding. Sandwiches, burgers, soups and seven different types of fries are likely to please even the pickiest of eaters.
The restaurant is beginning to carry a selection of craft beers, and the service gets 4-1/2 stars out of five.
If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to check out the new DLP.
