“We had a wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

My husband and I visited in mid-July. We had a wonderful stay at Pineapple Hill. Scott and Roy make you feel welcome and comfortable, but you still feel like you have privacy. The grounds are lovely and the location is just right. The food was fantastic!

We just returned home from a 2 night stay at the Pineapple Hill Bed & Breakfast. We are making this an annual getaway. Can not say enough good things. Our advise is go and experience for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Scott & Roy (owners and hosts),the Inn, breakfast and the unique pool all made for a wonderful visit. We were there during the recent 100+heat wave. The Inn and our room was cool and comfortable with complimentary bottled water available all day. What a great place to come home to after a long day sightseeing in the heat. Oh and don't forget the fireworks and wine & cheese night. To Scott & Roy, thank you and we'll bring the cheese next time.

We recently spent a great weekend at the Pineapple Hill Bed and Breakfast in the Goldfinch room. We felt relaxed and pampered by the owners and their staff from the moment we checked in. Our room was in the front of the house and was bright and sunny. The remote controlled air conditioning system was whisper quiet and kept the room at just the right temperature. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and the softest sheets. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower and fluffy towels - nothing at all like those over bleached scratchy hotel towels.

The pool was great and only a short walk from the back door. The water was warm and clear and there were towels, cold water and cups provided for the guests. It was very picturesque with a lovely stone wall surrounding the pool area and plenty of lounge seating for all of the guests.

The food was wonderful! My favorite was the creme brulee french toast served with a side of nice crispy bacon and tasty hash brown potato coins. There were delicious egg dishes, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, homemade muffins and more, yum!! Every meal was delicious. There was a wine tasting one evening which gave all of the guests a chance to get to know one another. There was a real family atmosphere. The dining area is lovely with a beautiful decor and calming soft music

The owners, Scott and Roy really made us feel welcome. They have great personalities and are a lot of fun. They recently purchased the Inn and are planning some improvements for the future. They've already built a spacious front deck/porch area with seating and rocking chairs. You can enjoy your breakfast there if you wish. There are so many nice little touches that really show how much thought was put into this venture. We definitely recommend the Pineapple Hill Bed & Breakfast. We are looking forward to returning. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you and best wishes! Marie and Mike

My husband and I decided to go to New Hope to celebrate our 40th "Dating" Anniversary. We had NEVER been to a B&B before and decided to give it a shot. BEST DECISION EVER!!!! Scott and Roy (owners of Pineapple Hill B&B ) are the nicest gentlemen you could meet. They made us feel welcome and were very friendly and felt like family had invited us to their home. The grounds were absolutely beautiful with flowers and plants so well placed and maintained, the pool was a pleasant escape, and the atmosphere just had a southern plantation type of vibe, relaxing and enjoyable. The room was comfy and just perfect for our weekend getaway. Breakfast was delicious, especially Scotts cranberry muffins (wish I had some now!), plus all the other midday touches of juice and snacks that Scott and Roy put out for their guest. My husband and I highly recommend you try Pineapple Hill Bed and Breakfast Inn if you go to New Hope. We will definitely go back again. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT. AND THANKS SCOTT & ROY FOR MAKING OUR FIRST B&B EXPERIENCE SO ENJOYABLE, YOU TWO GUYS ARE GREAT!!!!! GOOD LUCK

My husband and I stayed for the long 4th of July weekend. We are collectors of B&Bs, and this was our second stay in New Hope. We were completely charmed by the facilities and by our hosts, Scott and Roy. As its name suggests, the property is situated on a hill about 4 miles south of the main shopping area in New Hope. This is not convenient for walking to shop or dine in New Hope, but it is great for getting away from the bustle of town at night. When Scott and Roy took over the property in February 2012, they built a gracious deck on the front and put flowering plants all around it. These lovely flowers and patriotic bunting were the first things that greeted us when we arrived. Then we stepped into the blessedly cool air-conditioning, most welcome after our hot day at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Scott was our check-in host, and he showed us the common rooms (dining room and living room) and offered us cold beverages and sweet pastries. We were staying in the Hummingbird Room, actually the smallest of the guest rooms, but completely comfortable with a large bathroom and shower. We were encouraged to treat the grounds as our own, and we lost no time taking a dip in the in-ground pool on the property. The pool was built inside the foundations of an old barn, and it is surrounded by a part-wooden, part-stone privacy wall. I felt like I was at a resort on the Riviera, the pool is so nice. The yard between house and pool is beautifully landscaped with flowering plants, a lovely seating area protected by mosquito netting, and occasional pieces of whimsical statuary. This is a great location for visiting New Hope, Washington Crossing Historic Park, and Bucks County farms and wineries - but to tell you the truth, we would have enjoyed ourselves very much just staying at Pineapple Hill for four days. Scott prepares a very hearty breakfast every morning; the creme brulee French toast on Sunday morning was especially fantastic! Our bed was made up every day by invisible hands (actually a very friendly housekeeping staff), and there were cold beverages and pastries set out for the guests every afternoon in the dining room. On Saturday evening, Scott and Roy hosted a wine and cheese party for all the guests, and they were perfectly delightful company as they worked their way around the tables chatting enthusiastically with everyone. We will definitely be going back, and have already recommended Pineapple Hill to friends from all over the country.

My husband and I (in our early 30's) took a much needed 2 night "vacation" in New Hope the first weekend in June. My In Laws got us a gift certificate for Christmas for a get-a-way (without our 2 year old), so we went into the trip pretty blindly (and I'm an avid researcher when it comes to trips and vacations.) We had read a few reviews and I had some minor concerns (we had no idea the property ownership had changed hands between booking and staying), but the second I turned into the property my mind was changed. We chose a gorgeous weekend in June, the property was well manicured and beautiful. There was a huge, inviting deck out front with tables and umbrellas, pots with fresh flowers, and wonderful landscaping. We were greeted by Scott, who was extremely friendly and accommodating, and checked in to our room. He asked right away if we needed dinner reservations or recommendations for activities in the area. We were given a quick tour and told to help ourselves to the fresh baked cookies, snacks, coffee, and lemonade. Our room was immaculate. We were on the top floor with a balcony, and the bathroom was 2 steps across the hall (I was very concerned about this too but it was a non issue). The bathroom was gorgeously updated and everything was extremely comfortable and nice. We spent our weekend on winery tours, shopping and dining downtown, and kayaking. But the highlight of our stay was the Pineapple Inn! We could have never left the property and had a great time!! I even joked to my husband that one night we should stay by the pool all day, grab a bottle (or 2) of wine and just order in! Breakfast the first morning, Scott and Roy were both there, the food was fabulous, something for everyone!! If you don't want the hot dishes (yummy cheesy egg casserole, thick sliced bacon, fried potatoes, pancakes, and more), they had fresh baked breads, muffins, cereal, granola, and the list goes ON!). You could eat in the quaint, white table clothed dining room, or out on the deck. Scott and Roy personally helped you serve your plates and filled your coffees and chatted with you about plans, etc. They really know how to treat everyone kindly and make them feel at home (and never wanting to leave!). In conclusion, I very much recommend staying here on your trip to the area. As a small restaurant owner myself, I was extremely impressed with Scott and Roy. They take care in even the minor details and take pride in customer service, and it's noticeable from check in to check out. I RARELY say I'll be back somewhere, but I will go time and time again. And send all my friends!!! Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!

My husband and I escaped to this wonderful bed and breakfast for two nights. We cannot say enough about the new owners, Roy and Scott. Everything was spotless and decorated with a soothing elegance. Breakfasts were superb. Roy and Scott were unobtrusive, but always available if we needed assistance. The pool was the best. It was clean and there were two floats that are unlike any floats we have ever used before -- the buoyant serenity as soothing as a good massage. We are definitely returning. Thank you Roy and Scott.
