My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Lexington House through the generousity of dear friends who had experienced this delightful Bed and Breakfast previously.
Mike and Ed, the owners, welcomed us when we arrived and provided us with a weekend to remember. They were friendly and delighful hosts, aiding us in selecting dining and sight-seeing tips.
The interior is tastefully decorated in a style that could be described as "comfortable elogance". The well-maintained house and grounds provided a tranquil escape from the hectic work week (we wish we had been there when the pool was open...maybe next time)
Critics could find no fault with the breakfasts, which included fresh fruits, homemade muffins, scrumptious breakfast casserole, (banana french toast ...to die for!) etc. Freshly brewed coffee awaits the early risers to enjoy in the solitude of charming sitting/reading rooms.
The Saturday evening meet and greet was a wonderful chance to get to know fellow guests, while enjoying complimentary wine and cheese. We enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the local area, the history of the house and engage in conversation with guests and our hosts.
I would love to go back again....Michael and Ed have a way of making you feel like family and friends!
