“Relaxing, but wish there were more flowers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

We visited the preserve last week (mid-may), thinking it would be a prefect time of year to enjoy the spring flowers. We were a little let down when we got there and didn't find much. However, we still made the most of our time and enjoyed the trails, the (very) lush and green leaves and ferns and the stillness of the creek. We packed a lunch which we enjoyed at a picnic table near the visitors center. The pond was closed for a wedding so we didnt get to check it out.

“Peaceful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

It just so happens that my friend and I picked the most perfect, end-of-spring day to visit. It's so peaceful--away from all noise. There are many paths on which to wander and an abundance of wildflowers, shrubs and trees to enjoy. Some of the plants are marked. We took a short, guided tour from a knowledgeable guide and then we were left to hike on our own. There are some benches throughout the trails but spotty at best, If you aren't in good shape, be wary of the large roots on some of the trails and the somewhat steeper climb to the top of Bowman's Hill. (We're 60 and didn't have a problem.) I think a hiking pole would be advised for the exposed roots on the trails. Sales of wildflowers were offered near the visitor's center. It was quite a lovely hike. There are small fees ($5.00 and under), but who wouldn't pay $5.00 just to donate for the preservation of wildflowers.

“Beautiful, serene, and lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

The wildflower preserve is such a happy beautiful place not far from the river and the Delaware towpath. Its a longer walk or easy bike ride from New Hope. The walking trails all around the preserve are gorgeous and very well maintained and labeled. Its a great mini getaway where you will lose all sense of busyness and crowds. The flowers are lovely and be sure to visit often to see the changing seasons!

“Respite from Noise, Crowds of New Hope”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

When you are sick of fighting the noise and crowds of New Hope, drive a short ways down the road to this preserve for some peace and quiet. Our 4th visit in about 15 years and not disappointed. Late spring afternoon with so much in bloom. The bluebell meadow was heavenly. Took hundreds of photos. Well maintained, wide trails, some are steep. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff in gift shop/bookstore.
