“Thought a second trip would be different”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

We came here on a night several months ago and really didn't have a great experience. The food was only so so (disappointing after reading the reviews) and the service was highly lacking. It appeared that they were either very disoriented or short staffed. Either way, it led to quite a hectic dinner.

We came back with friends thinking maybe we just hit the place on an off night. The story was much the same. My steak seemed to be over cooked an more fat than meat. The pub style food was ok but anything that might take a little extra time was not.

The service on our second trip was about the same as the first. Again, very disorganized. Unfortunately for this pub, Mount Joy has a number of other selections to choose from that seemed to have better food and service therefore I don't think we will go back and find out if a third time is the charm.

“Good Overpriced Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

I thought the food was good but very expensive. The servers are nice but arent dressed in an appealing fashion. Beers are cheaper elsewhere.

“It is nice that the server remembers who you are!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Had supper with my husband on a Saturday night. We arrived at about 8pm and sat in the dining area. There was a large group of women who got very noisy so I was ready to leave when we finished eating instead of staying for another drink. The Grass Fed Beef Guiness Stew was awesome!! Hubby had the Po' Boy and really liked it. I wish I was a beer drinker because the mixed drinks are expensive!! Our server was very nice. We will be back and will sit in the bar area next time.

“Gourmet pub food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

There seems to be a competition in Mt. Joy, PA among the various pubs. Each trying to outdo the other in gourmet food. This is not an exception. Food is very good, although the 12 inch roll was too big for the tenderloin and provolone sandwich. Salads are fresh and big. Nice waitstaff. Lots of beers to choose from.

“FRIENDLY COZY ATMOSPHERE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

The is a great place to eat. Outside deck in the summer is awesome and there is often entertainment. I usually don't eat fish out but the fish and chips there is just amazing. The weekend specials are a must try. Grass fed burgers are yummy as well as homemade soft pretzels with cheese. If you are going with a large party you should call ahead for reservations. Also, the bar and lounge area is totally separate from the dining area so it is also family friendly.
