“Great Food, Great Guests, Great Fun!”

Rocky Acre Farm

This place was great! The kids woke up at around 7am to feed the calves, pick the eggs from the hen house, feed the lambs. It was a good time to go because all the calves were being born (12 in the 3 days we were there). Our room, the Meadow View Room, seemed to be the smallest (ok for 2 but tight for 4) which was the only disadvantage but it's not like we spent anytime in our room anyway. The breakfast by the Benners was fantastic (basically all you can eat of all the wonderful breakfast foods - pancakes, waffles, french toast, scrambled eggs, ham, etc.). Then, Mr. Benner takes all the kids on a pseudo train ride, pony ride, and hayrides!!! All the other guests that were there have been going for years and we can see why!! They were all very nice and very forthcoming with helpful info! Discount tickets to Hershey Park from Giant Supermarket. We went to Dutch Wonderland on the second day which was great for our kids' age (3 and 5). We also went to the Wilton Armetale Factory Store - a must!! especially at lunch time because the have a cooking demo!

We stayed at Rocky Acre for 3 nights last summer, and we loved it so much we are going back this year for a whole week! This is a real-deal working dairy farm, where our kids just loved seeing all that goes on at the farm. The farmer takes the kids for pony and tractor rides every day after breakfast, they can see cows up close, gather eggs from the hen-house, and play with the farm cats and kittens. Our room was lovely, very comfortable. The breakfast each morning is the best ever, and will keep you going all day. The farm has play equipment, and bikes for the kids to use. The surrounding area is beautiful, and there is a wide range of activities to choose from. Definately something for everyone, and you could not possibly get bored. We cannot wait for our vacation!

“Awesome Farm!!!!”

Rocky Acre Farm

Apr 15, 2008

We visited Rocky Acre Farms for just one night. I wish we could have stayed a few more. Our 5 year old son absolutely LOVED it. He got to feed the baby lamb, look for eggs in the henhouse, feed the baby calf, milk the cow, ride the pony, ride the train and go on a hayride (I'm probably forgetting something). The room was very comfortable (we stayed in the Century Room). The breakfast was WONDERFUL. There was so many different things that even our VERY picky 5 year old found something he liked. We can't wait to go back. It was a great experience.

It has been awhile 1 year 4 months since we were at Rocky Acre, but I thought I would mention that it was one of the highlights of our USA trip. We arrived after being in Las Vegas, Washington DC, New york ect so driving up the windy road and seeing the beautiful blue house with shutters was just wonderful! The kids were out the car and playing in the cabby and throwing balls to each other before I had even stepped foot in the door! We stayed for 3 days. The rooms are beautiful and beds are very comfortable, and you are left to your own devices to discover this wonderful place, with a helping hand around should you need it. We took the kids for a paddle in the boat, took the buggy out for a drive ( kids loved that ) had a picinc in the lovely garden, sat in the rocking chair and enjoyed the peace and quite while kids played with the endless toys. They loved it so much they wanted to stayed there for the rest of our 6 weeks trip! We also watched a calf being born- which was great. Its a shame we have to travel so far to go back.....but when we are next in the USA we will be calling past our favourite farm.

Absolutely wonderful vacation! This was my 5th year at the farm...It has been awhile since I visited years ago with my sister and her children, and now our 3 year old could not wait to go to "The Farm" that we have all talked so much about! I don't want to spread the word too much, because it is already almost impossible to get into, but it is too much of a good thing not to pass along to other families. The children will love it. The Benner's and the staff at Rocky Acre make you feel right at home and as if you are part of the family. The rooms have been updated over the years, and are very family friendly. So many activities for the children right at the farm that they will never want to leave! We always try to visit a few sorrounding attractions, and all the children want to do is get back to the farm to snuggle the MANY kittens! Get ready to be up at the crack of dawn to help feed the calves and gather the eggs. Breakfast will be enough food to last through the afternoon! YUMMY home cooked eggs, potatoes, ham, homemade pumpkin break, hot chocolate from the cows milk, etc...Too many items to list! We also saw our 2nd calf being born, and we are pretty sure a 3rd was born at night as we heard the mooing from the barn! Another wonderful stay!
