“Excellent beach, spectacular scenery, unique theatre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

This is a fantastic beach with great views and a quite sheltered bay. It's a bit of a walk from the car park, which is the only drawback. Would definitely recommend, especially for families with children as it's self-contained and fairly safe.

“simply wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

2nd time here - actually stayed in porthcurno this year so didn't have issues with car parking etc - its so lovely! - a wild, wonderful sea, clean beach, people watching nirvana! - my kids stayed in the sea for hours at a time - I mean hours! - jellies were abundant though but did not seem bothered in human kind! - wear swimmie shoes and you should be ok - I completely zone out when i'm here -it does get busy in high summer but its no surprise - get there early! - or stay in the village - ice cream guy is dishy (according to my 14 year old) and it is a nice treat after the trek back up from the beach - beware animal lovers as dogs not allowed and buggies would be a nightmare to get on to the beach itself - pub is friendly - no michellin stars mind but the ginger tosser ale is ace! Enjoy but don,t tell too many people please.

“Porthcurno Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

One of the best beach with crystal clear water in the UK!
Water can be cold, so best get a wet suite.
Enough said I guess...

“Golden experience...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Visited Porthcurno beach yesterday and caught the last of the summer days in a place that is truly memorable, from the golden sand to the turquoise sea, all set within a sweeping bay with interesting cliff and beach formations. It is a magical place that I last visited over 40 years ago and as soon as I saw it, the happy memories from my childhood came flooding back. A fantastic place well worth a visit particularly on a sunny summer's day, though I thought the beach cafe looked pretty poor and would suggest you take what you need with you.

“Simply Stunning Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Just had a stunning day on the beach at Porthcurno, when the sun is shining you could be anywhere in the world, its that good. The water especially for younger children when the tide is in could be a problem as it shelves off quickly to deeper water, however the life guards are stationed right on the water edge. If lucky you may see a Basking Shark as i did a year or two ago. If the beach becomes to much take a trip up the footpath and visit the Minack Theatre which is a breathtaking place to watch anything at all. Parking is good with only a short walk to the beach.
