My other half and I stayed August 18 to 20, 10. Check-in was speedy and extremely easy - all requests were met - usual for any hotel! The staff are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. The people who stick in my mind is Jim (PT shuttle driver), Michelle (waitress in Jacksons restaurant) and Dani (waitress in Jacksons restaurant) and the female supervisor, name once again I forget:) so sorry. There is one other young sweet girl who was working the front desk the day we checked in however I feel badly as I can't remember her name(sorry):) she was off the day we checked however was in and took the time to speak to us:) no where I've been would've done that - they would've brushed off:) tells you how much the staff here like what they do and that says something for this hotel and it's chains. These staff members went out of their way to assure my other half and I were given accurate direction to recommended and favoured attractions and restaurants in and around the area. Extremely so DANI and JIM sat with us for 1/2 to make sure we understood their directions. DANI and JIM literally went to the business centre either research and printed directions or drew very clear and concise directions. Who does this? WOW! Michelle, well she is a ray of sunshine....smiling, funny and delightful. She was always pleasant and fun to speak to. The 2nd day I came down for breaky Michelle looked at me and said healthy breakfast - she knew! All the staff I've mentioned have the personality as bright as the sun! And, "they" say Canadians are friendly!!! LOL! Funny thing, our reason for our stay was to attend Ozzfest and when we told the staff:) no judgements! Just acceptance! Along the way we ate at Georgetown Inn (for two average of $30us casual dining with fine food) as recommended by JIM - excellent choice - excellent view of Pittsburgh from MT. Washington restaurant!
Now the hotel, the rooms were perfect! We had a minor problem with our tv:) called down with 2 minutes(not exaggerating) maintenance was at our door! Beautiful breakfast, hotel and wishing I lived there. The staff made you feel like royalty!
Downfall - the doors to the rooms are fire doors so as soon as you leave they automatically slam shut.....loud! Please....Please....consider others:) when you leave gently close the door.....it was my morning wake up call - no alarm needed!
I chose the Hilton group for most of my stays so much so that the 20th we left and headed to Grove City Prime Outlets to shop and booked with Hampton Inn and Suites....
