“Fabulous prices and wonderful meal choices!”

The Mediterranean Mac & Cheese was FABULOUS! It was difficult to choose from the fabulous choices. Loved the Flourless Chocolate Tort. The restaurant was gorgeous and the waitress rocked! I will be back frequently!!!

“Surprisingly Delicious!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

Wife and I stopped in because we heard it was a new restaurant in Milford, Pa. It's BYOB but that's nice. The wait staff was terrific and the service was excellent. The soups were delicious and the menu was very diverse. the meal was excellent. We even had doggie bags to take home. We went in Mid Jan. 2014 (I think the 18th). We told our friends about it and that we would be back again. Don't know about dinners but lunch was excellent! Cuisine is contemporary Mediterranean/Italian.

“Worst Birthday Dinner Ever.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

The building is incredible and this restaurant should be fantastic but is anything but. Four of us went to celebrate my birthday. We sat outside on the gorgeous patio and that was all that was good about it. Every single one of us was disappointed with our dinners, none of them were even edible. Our complaints to the
"manager" fell on deaf ears, but she did offer us a free dessert despite the fact that none of the 4 of us really ate our dinners at all because they were that bad. And then the bill came and it was just adding insult to injury to charge that much for crappy food. Unfortunately the only thing they have going for them is incredible building they are in. I want this place to be fantastic so badly but it's not and we won't be wasting our money there again. Total disappointment on my birthday.

“Our Nominee for World's Worst Restaurant”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

It's a lovely restaurant serving the worst food imaginable. We started with the onion soup and the bean/veggie soup. Both truly terrible and incredibly salty. For our mains, my wife had lasagna and I had the ravioli. We both concluded that the chef had no idea what he/she was doing. It was a truly dreadful meal. Steer clear!

“Birthday 'week' suprizingly special lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

First time my husband and I tried The Grotto for lunch. The menu is delightful as it gives you the country of origin for the items listed. Cuisine is contemporary Italian/Mediterranean. Donna, our server was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the history of the Zaloom house. The food was fresh and prepared by Chef Adam as though we were royalty! Vegetables maintained their body and the pasta was al dente. We shared the falafel, warm eggplant and tomatoes as an appetizer. Grotto Meatloaf was soul warming with garlic mashed potatoes. The sausage and peppers over linguini..short of licking the plate, sauce was tantilizingly fresh. Desserts and bread are made fresh at the restaurant. Delicious and tasty from beginning to end. Looking forward to our next visit to The Grotto to experience the best of Italian and Meditteranean dishes directly across the road from Grand Union in Milford, PA.....(BYOB)
