“OK if nothing else is open.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

Got off the highway in Milford PA on the way home to order a pizza and some sandwiches before everything closed. Called 2 other pizza restaurant's that advertised open till 10PM but were closed by 8:45PM. Called Joey's Pizza and happy to find they were open till 11PM. We ordered a large Pizza half bacon and half sausage and a few veal parmigiana hero sandwiches. Food was ready within 15 minutes and taken home. Upon opening the sandwiches burnt bread was very noticeable. Bread was obviously homemade but had a rubbery consistency and a taste reminiscent of a prepackaged home quick bread mix similar to Bisquick. Veal was a medium portion of one veal cutlet but was thick, tough and definitely not pounded at all. The bread was way too big for the veal and loses points because of this. They either should have made smaller bread or just a bit more cutlet for a better presentation, even if it meant a slightly higher charge. Flavor of the veal was OK but nothing special. The sauce and mozzarella cheese were tasty and of decent quality. The pizza was a good size , toppings were generous however not distributed evenly resulting in some slices with too much and some slices with hardly any topping. Pizza dough was the same recipe as the bread, very doughy, lacking any crispiness or texture and tasted like supermarket preformed shells. Again the sauce and cheese was tasty however the pizza just lacked character that you would hope for in a pizza. This is the third time I have tried Joey's and unless desperate again , will not return.

“Best pie in Milford!”

We never miss a chance for a Joey's pie while in Milford. Huge slices, good salads, reasonable prices.

“Excelllent Pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

I miss this place a lot. Old time memories for us, we have cut back to healthier eating choices, but when you can cheat a little, make it worth it with a stop at Joey's.

“Average pizza, not much atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

Although this place has been around forever and always seems to have a lot of people in it, the food is typical and the atmosphere just noisy booths and indifferent staff. Frankly if you want really good pizza in Milford, go instead down the block and around the corner to John's of Arthur Avenue, in the Old Lumberyard.

“Very good pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

First pizza we tried in Milford, and we definitely like it! Lots of different combinations of toppings to choose from on single slices - all in showcase. Thin to medium crust, which is what I like. Great for a real quick lunch. No real atmosphere - just your average pizza place with tables - but definitely worth checking out.
