“Absolutely disgusting”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

Traveling back from Washington by car is not fun but either way we did my wife and I and out cat Hugo (5 yrs old ) now it was late laste night July 3rd and well I heard motel 6 was supposed to be good. Well lets say room 203. Mold in the shower and the bed was just horrid I mean "no not happening" male sexual fluids in the sheets and so on and so forth. So then I asked to get a room change. Ok no problem. Went to the next room 111. Well damn upon opening the door I am hit with what smells like cottage cheese. Throw up. Mold. And some one just dropped a deuce in the toilet. Well we went in anyhow and bathe bathroom was spotless and the floor although I am not taking my shoes off and relaxing looked pretty clean. The beds (the most important part) stain after stain after stain. From the cover blanket to the mattress. So I took all the coverings to the front desk and asked for a new set. " we are sorry we don't have extra". All our sheets have stuff on them. Alittle here alittle there. No big deal. Ewwwwww so after I get my money back and back the car and leave. It's 1130 I was just on the road for 12 and a half hours. Went to comfort inn across the street. Read that review. DO NOT STAY HERE. U MAY CATCH SOMETHING

I'm a frequent business traveler and have stayed at other Motel 6 in the northeast and this is your standard cheap hotel. If you are expecting 5 star accommodations this is not your place.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV and wifi worked great. The staff was nice and accommodating. I couldn't ask for more for $ 50 bucks a night.

My wife and I brought our 8 month old child with us from out of state to attend a funeral for a family member. After a long night at the viewing, we arrived at the motel exhausted and ready to check-in. Words do not express how dissatisfied I am with our stay.
After receiving our room key for room 341, we walked up a very filthy and muddy set of stairs. There was mud and dirt all over the walls and stairs. Either a bus just dropped off a group of farmers covered in mud or they had not been swept in a LONG time.....weeks? Months?
Then we get to our room. We had brought our dinner with us, and upon opening the door, we were hit with an aroma that made us nauseous to the core. We specifically selected a "smoke free" room. If this is a smoke free room, I'm not sure how its possible to breathe in the others that are not. My wife immediately looked at me and asked "are you kidding!?" There were stains on the bed, burn marks from cigarettes in the carpet, and the smell was so bad we both lost any desire to eat the one and only meal of the day after a long day of traveling, emotions and stress. The internet, even though "free" was more stress than it was worth. I don't know if wifi is simply offered so that you can advertise that it exists, but it's practically a fossil, might as well just call it dial up. it was too slow to even run a speed test on, let alone upload any webpages., couldn't send an email....and don't even think about streaming Netflix on an ipad. using my phone as a hotspot was definitely a much greater experience. We wake up the next morning, both smelling terrible, our throats and eyes burning from the wreaking smell and even after taking showers, our clothes smelled pathetic, and our 8 month old smelled like smoke and cried much of the night having a difficult time sleeping as well. Not the type of way you want to arrive at a funeral, ready to hug and love on friends and family smelling like we did. It was embarrassing! Definitely not what we needed to add to a week that was already difficult to handle with the passing of a family member. We were ready to eat and enjoy a good nights sleep,....and yet their facilities were so poorly taken care of that it prevented us from doing either. I am so thankful we only needed a room for one night, as I cannot fathom the thought of having to come back and don't know how anyone can enjoy their stay here. This will, by far, be remembered as our worst experience and stay ever. We certainly don't recommend the motel 6 in cranberry PA. facilities, and if management is smart, they will make changes so that maybe someday, this motel won't be dreaded.

Room Tip: Sleep in a tent, sleep in your car, don't sleep here

We stay here often only because of there truck parking, laundry, and pet friendly. Rooms are descent. Housekeeping will pester you all day, close to lits of good restaurants. Unless you want to pay, you get the basics

Any time you stay with a value chain there are trade offs to be made. In this case, the trade offs are cigarette burns everywhere, broken curtains and no extra blankets. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and it's resonably quiet considering you're tucked in between 19 and 79. In my husband's opinion, it's clean enough, not so in mine, but that may be just the battle of the sexes. In all, if you're trying to save a buck, it's fine. If you can afford to stay someplace else, I would.

I have stayed at my share of Motel 6 over the years. As a frequent traveller for both work and pleasure, Motel 6 often offers quality for great value. Unfortunately, this last experience was disgusting and disappointing! My friends and I found a bug in the bathroom within minutes of entering the room. It appeared to be a beetle of sorts, but definitely could have passed for a roach. Killed it and moved on. Well they kept coming, roach after roach after roach. It was a long weekend with teh Steelers playing a home game - no other rooms available in this or any other motel. Gentleman working the front desk came up to help us out...he sprayed air freshener around the window, and removed a few bugs by hand - shaking them outside..? The last straw was when my friend had to kill a roach that was on my head! We could not sleep in there. We slept in our car, asking the staff to allow us back in the room to use the washroom, which he did. The manager in the morning was completely unsympathetic and wanted to charge us because we used the bathroom!!! assured us they were not roaches but "outside bugs"! No matter what type of insect they were, they do not belong in our room! It is fall and this is PA...Completely unacceptable. Eventually got our money back after a lengthy argument. I will stay at Motel 6 again - but definitely not this one!!!

I prefer Motel 6 on the basis of price, and this is one of the better ones I've stayed in. Amazingly quiet for being right next to US 19 and the PA Turnpike. The bed was not rock hard. The room was clean and stocked properly. Good WiFi that is included in the room price. Very near a large group of eateries.

No issues with this Motel 6, whatsoever and I will return when travel requires it.
